Usually, if there is a Time/Clock button on the panel, pushing it once blanks the display for timer input while pushing it twice makes the colon blink (the two dots) meaning it's expecting the time input. So, for 12:37 you would push Time-Time-1-2-3-7-Time.
IF YOU GET A CODE 12 WHICH IS THE BLINK PAUSE BLINK BLINK THEN THE TV THINKS THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH ITSELF. ARE YOU SURE IT ISNT CODE 22 BLINK BLINK PAUSE BLINK BLINK? THAT WOULD BE A CONVERGENCE FAILURE COMMON FAILURE FOR CRT REAR PROJECTIONS.
Engage the self diagnostic feature that this set has:
after set shuts off; On front of set push and hold both the Menu and Input buttons in together for 5 seconds and release both buttons.
The power light should blink a two digit error code (it will repeat it about 10 times) for example: two blinks, a pause, and two blinks (this is the most common error code)
Let me know what the error code is and I will tell you what it means
21 error code means the set is shutting down due to xray protection. Try removing each one of the CRT PWBs one at a time and try powering up the set. replace previous removed CRT PWB before trying the remaining CRT PWbs. let me know the outcome. Please respond to this same post when replying
Need to know more, 1-2 is no error code, you say will not turn on, do it has led light on or do you hear sound in set like high voltage? Any lights blinking? Or just completely dead, like fuse blown?
