Unit never washes...

I start the wash cycle and it just seems to "think" about washing; it sounds like it pulls some water into the unit (the water pipe leading to the dishwasher is hot) but in never sounds like it circulates it around and nothing is clean. Around 21 months old.

Check water level:
Run the DW and wait for the main wash to start (water will fill. pause then complete fill) The water should be about 1/4 to 1/8 inch below the heating element. If not there..replace water inlet valve.

The part should cost around $20.00. You can order any part for just about any appliance from Sears at this web site

Let me know if I can be of assistance for future needs.

Sounds like you need a professional to diagnose the unit for repairs. You are either having a timer issue or a control board communication error.

Sounds like a solenoid valve fault. Does it start turning and act like it's washing even though there's no water inside? If so check pressure chamber and switch

Hi can you tell me which programme is the short wash and spin please

I think I have the same type of washing machine as you do. Wash is when all the clothes get agitated or mixed with soap and water (ever look in there when its washing? the water can get pretty gross looking!) So in my washer, the rinse cycle is when all that gross water is drained, and the washer spins while spraying clean water over the clothes to get rid of the dirty water and soap. I think mine does this 5 or 6 times in the cycle. Next is the spin cycle, which is when the washer spins REALLY fast to **** as much water out of the clothes as possible, so that the clothes aren't sopping wet when you put them in the dryer.

It sounds like your mom has a newer washing machine, probably a front load one, and they do seem to keep using clean water, instead of just agitating the clothes in dirty water.

I have had the"ld" message show up repeatedly. when this happens all of the water is drained. It appears that it locks up and wont start the next cycle. I have been unplugging the unit to reset it and i...

ld IS AN ERROR CODE FOR LONG DRAIN. The computer thinks it is taking to long to drain. These units are famous for getting small clothing items sucked up under the wash basket. The only sure fix itto remove the wash tub and remove the obstructions keeping it from draining properly, and start using a mesh bag for smaller items..To remove basket use a stiff putty knife to open the top about 1and 1/2 inches in on each side of the top push in on clips .Remove tub top cover ,just clips on outer tub. pry loose center cap in center of wash plate remove bolt holding wash plate pull out wash plate..then just pull up on wash basket nothing holding it ( its designed to float) the remove whatever is under the basket ,sounds like a lot of work but its really not i have done it a hundred times,,,GOOD LUCK

Doesn't fill with water - goes straight to agitation.

open the console and find the pressure switch. it has a clear hose attached to it. pull the hose off the switch and turn on the washer. if water starts to enter shut it off and blow through it back to the tub. some piece of junk may have plugged it causing the switch to "think" the tub is full of water. put the hos back on and run a short spin cycle to reset it and try again making sure to run a small load to see if it shuts off properly. if no water enters when hose is pulled off most likely bad pressure switch. keep the lid closed while doing these tests. some units wont work w/lid open.

Dishwasher will not go into wash cycle.

On the LG LDF6810 dishwasher, the best you can do is remove the bottom spray arm and then the 10 phillips screws that hold the filter down.
Pull the filter out and clean it as best you can.
Inspect the sump area beneath where the filter was. Be careful of broken glass and remove all debris. Use a flashlight and look into every little spot down there. Reassemble the dishwasher and operate your DW.
If you still have problems, I recommend a service call. Check your manual to confirm but most LG dishwashers have a 1 year parts & labor plus a 2 year parts only. Have your proof of purchase ready.

Bosch SHU9915UC Dishwasher - wash cycle won't happen

hi there your dishwasher has gone into flood protection mode ie. water has leaked into the base and activated the float switch.

to try and locate the leak tip your d/w back to drain the water from the base then remove both side panels and start a program to see if you can see where the water is leaking from, being careful not to touch anything while the d/w is running as live parts are exposed

hope this is of some help
