A blinking monitor just might be a loose connection of the main display cable that runs up the left side of the display and connects to the motherboard. Also check the two wire cable attaching the inverter to the screen. The bezel of the screen will have to be removed as well as the power strip and keyboard to check the display cable. Remove the lcd screen from its hinges and look behind the display, there is a flat cable that plugs into the top edge of the screen. This cable has a habit of getting loose and falling out of the socket.
Now there is a chance that the BIOS of the laptop needs to be updated. There are many instances where the display starts acting up and a BIOS update is the correct action to take. Go to the Toshiba support site, put in the model number and then put in your operating system. Scroll down to where the BIOS is listed under downloads/drivers. Download and install the new BIOS, reboot.
it has to get down to the proper temperature after the reset the set point is -4 for the freezer and 38 for the refrigerator. the numbers shown o\n the digital display panel stands for the actual temperatures. When the compartmnet tempertures go down, so do the numbers on thge display panel, and finally they reach the set temperatures. Once the system is stabilized , the display tempoeratures are the set temperature.
Either there is a loose connection at that board or in the plug where the wiring goes into the door (should be at top or bottom door hinge). If all connections are tight then replace the board. Not sure how old this unit is but it does come with a one yr warranty from date of purchase.
