If the printer is making a crinkly sound when printing then likely the teflon cover on the heating element in the fuser has torn. Assuming that the rest of the fuser components are not damaged a reputable shop should be able to resleeve the fuser for you.

Dell 2145cn Print is faded in middle of page

Check the transfer belt, also get a air spray can, look for the opening to the laser unit inside unit on top side, spray opening to remove dust or toner deposits. Lastly check fuser, it should have a uniform coating on it, if it looks faded in the corresponding area of fades you will have to change. Hope it helps.

I have a Samsung CLP-620ND color printer, only 1085 copies printed. After changing the 3 colored toner cartridges, my print out came out bad. Left side of paper around 3

Dear
Open the individual carts from the printer and visually observe the density of toner on the developer roller evenly. Some times the cleaning blade of ITB over come the problem.

Before this try to adjust altitude and cleaning on EPM or smart panel from PC.

Thanks.

My hp deskjet 6940 inkjet printer doesn't show me level of ink in cartridge

Print a diagnostic page If the steps above have not helped, print and evaluate a diagnostic page to see if the cartridges or the printer is causing the problem.
  1. Make sure the printer is on and loaded with unused, plain, white paper.
  2. Press and hold the Power button and then press the Cancel button. Release both buttons. The diagnostic page prints. Figure 1: Power and Cancel buttonsc00584735.gif 1 - Cancel button 2 - Power button
Step 4: Note which cartridges printed which areas of the diagnostic page You must identify which cartridge printed which part of the diagnostic page, so that if you find defects on the page, you will know which cartridge is the problem. However, you can install different combinations of print cartridges in your printer, and different cartridge combinations print different diagnostic page patterns. Your diagnostic page may not look exactly like the picture below, but the right and left cartridges will print in the same areas of the page no matter which cartridges are installed. Figure 2: Diagnostic page layout (the patterns in each area may look slightly different on your page)c00584715.gif 1 - Printed by the right cartridge 2 - Printed by the left cartridge NOTE: If you are printing in reserve mode (one cartridge is missing), the missing cartridge's area of the diagnostic page will be blank. Step 5: Check ink levels NOTE: If you have installed a refilled or remanufactured ink cartridge, or a cartridge that has been used in another product, the ink level indicator is inaccurate or unavailable. Look in the middle of the diagnostic page. The bars with "E" (for "empty") and "F" (for "full") at each end show the ink levels in the cartridges. As ink is used, the solid color changes to a faded color. HP 2840 will not print on 3 inches of left side of page

Take the toner cartridge out, shake it back and forth, and turn it around in a circle a few time. Put it back in the priter, and print. Order a new toner cartridge.

If this is an inkjet printer, ignore this response.

Faded-out streak

check your ink levels. if its the ink that came with the printer it is probable running out of ink. they do not give a full cartridge with printers, only about 3rd full. also try cleaning the heads. and try changing your printer settings/prefrences to less ink, more drytime see if that helps.

Faded prints about 2" in from the margin

Greetings!

{You used the term "drum". This may indicate a roll type of toner rather than a cartridge style of toner. The following tip is for a cartridge style.}

I get much the same symptom when my HP laser cartridge is running low, and no, it doesn't have a "low toner" indicator either. I get by a little longer with mine, long enough to get out and buy a new one that is, by removing it, holding it over a garbage can at an angle and firmly tapping on it to loosen any compacted toner. I then turn it back horizontally and gently shake it back and forth to evenly distribute the remaining toner through the cartridge and reinsert it into the printer. This usually gets me nice, even prints back and extends the life of the cartridge. I can usually get a few extra weeks out of it by doing this two or three times.

Good luck!

Faded on left hand side

If it only happens with the black then you need to change out the black toner cartridge. The good news is isn't doesn't happen with color so it more than likely not the printer but the toner.

Left side margin is fading out right side margin is printing correctly

First try to align the printer head either with software or at the printer control panel. If that one couldn't solve the problem then you may have the encoder strip dirty at left side. It is not easy to access the encoder strip, sent it to workshop.
