When it shuts down press menu and input buttons both in together on the front panel and hold in for 8 seconds and see if the LED blinks a two digit code . If so let me know the number of blinks

yes, however a 12 code means that the set isnt shutting down for protective reasons. So it will need to be diagnosed. But if your good at soldering you may want to try re-soldering the Flyback and the components near the flyback as mitsubishi has had some issues with solder joints at the flyback and horizontal drive transformer

TV Turns Off Automatically While Watching

Stop trying to turn on the set. You are causing more damage. The hissing sound you are hearing is either a High Voltage Transformer on the SMPS (Switched Mode Power Supply) indicating a short somewhere in the set or some capicitors that have shorted out. Also there can be a CRT that is leaking cooling fluid onto the Main bd or the Power/Deflection bd or both bds. Have a trained Samsung tech troubleshoot the set.

or a new lamp. you could first replace the lamp.
the screen might work fine for a couple of seconds, but then it fades away or deteriorates. This means the lamp is going bad.

Mitsubishi Projection TV WD-62525

this set has 3 temperture sensors. If the set gets too hot it will shut down.
first clean the cooling fan as it may be full of dust.
if this is not the cure the one of the sensors is likely bad.
Thanks Guy9
