Question about Technics SL-MC400 110-Disc CD Changer
Changer turns on ok, reads error message
I have the same problem. When you turn it, after a while it justs displays "ERROR". I opened the player and I think the player is stuck on the left hand of the interior. When I lift the lever on the front of the player it starts moving, but on returning to the same place it gets stuck again. I checked to see if any items were broken but that does not seem to be the problem. I suspect that it is caused by worn out items. Any suggestions, does Technics still support this player?

Replace the small drive belt on the inside cover back left of the unit. It's easy to do - just a tight space. Take the old belt, which looks like a rubber band, to a stereo repair shop and they can sell you a new belt.
