Can't switch on my wireless lan in my hcl me netbook .where is the wlan swith located .

Usually the wireless switch is located on the sides of the system, if you cant see it there. In front. and if you already turn on the wireless switch and you cant still connect. Look for the function keys. Usually it would be FN and F6. When you press those two keys at the same time. You should see a pop up window. Check if the current status is on. If it is on and you cant still connect. Uninstall and reinstall the wireless driver and try to connect again. If this didn't work, you can contact your computer manufacturer or do a clean installation.

Wireless Button Disabled

After one month of trying everything, I finally figured this one out.  First turn off and restart your computer.  Then press F10 to enter the System BIOS Settings.  Select F9 (Setup Defaults) and when it asks Load Default Configuration Now? , Enter YES.  Then, press F10 (Save and Exit) and when it asks Save Configuration Changes And Exit Now, Enter YES.  This should restore the wireless LAN button to its original factory settings.  Once you restart the computer the button will be listed as disabled, but press on the button and it should work again.  I hope this helps someone else out!
