Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

My Dell studio xps 1640 lap has sim card slot for internet connection , when I insert the sim card it doesn't read .so what can i do to make it functional?

i would suggest calling technical support to see if the sim card you are using is even compatible with your laptop, you should not be having this problem if it is.

First - re-seat the harddisk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot andgo into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If itdoesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty. Then the hard drive needsto be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer orlaptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioningcomputer/laptop again.

Operating system not found Problem

Just load OS CD in to your dvd driver and restart it

  • Press any key..... when show this message
  • And do it as given instruction

Installation

*Note to wi-fi users. I recommend you use a wired connection for everything until XP is completely setup. Disable the wi-fi connection on first boot or as soon as you get the drivers installed. To disable the connection Open your Network Connection Properties, go to Start > Run > type control ncpa.cpl exactly as you see here > right-click on the wi-fi connection and choose disable.

Start your computer and insert the XP disk. If your computer supports booting from a CD you may need to change the bios startup options. The key you press to access the bios may differ depending on the make of your computer. Most use the DELETE key, if not then it will be one of the FUNCTION keys (F1, F2, etc.) Save changes and exit. If your computer does not support booting from CD then insert the first Windows XP floppy disk.

As the system boots you will see a message at the bottom of the screen:

"Press F6 if you need to install a 3rd party SCSI or RAID driver." If you do, follow the instructions.

I am trying to connect to my virgin mobile internet via the virgin mobile flash drive, the netbook isn't even picking up that I have the flash drive plugged into the computer.

If this is a Sylvania Netbook running Win CE 6 it is possible that the operating system simply doesn't have a driver for Virgin Mobile cellphone.

The only way I have been able to connect to the internet is via Wifi or a LAN cable plugged into the back. I doubt you will get any other method to work.

Please note the Wifi can be via a Wifi access point on your cellphone, a portable, mobile hotspot that connects via a USB modem or any other functional Wifi access point.

Wont show hard drive

First - re-seat the harddisk (to ensure the hard disk is properly connected to the motherboard) and then reboot the computer. If this does not work then reboot and go to theBIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn'tdetect the hard drive then it could be faulty. Next - to determine if thehard drive is faulty, remove the hard drive and insert it into an USB hard drive adapter and connect it to a workingcomputer's USB port. If this computer cannot see itas an external hard drive and you cannot open the various folders and files, this confirms the hard drive is faulty. The hard drive needs to bereplaces in the laptop and Windows installed and the laptop's device driversand your programs etc to get a functioning laptop again.
