Gigaware mp3 4 gig locked up

If you mean, your gigaware mp3 is frozen and won't do anything, then there is a reset button on the side you will have to push with a something small. If that won't work, then wait for the battery to die. If you mean that your mp3 player won't stay on even if battery power is charged, I would get a plug-to-the-wall usb charger and plug the mp3 player to that. keep plugging it in and unplugging it untill it starts to work. Just keep playing with it until it starts working. If not then just wait a few hours to a day, then try to see if it works.

I think mine is the e260 - 2 gig sansa. The last time I turned it on, it resumed playing the album that had been playing the previous time I used it - as normal. When the album finished and I tried to...

Resetting the device:
1. Press and hold the Power/Menu button for approximately 20 seconds.
2. Release the Power/Menu button.
3. Press the Power/Menu button again to turn on the player.

Tried to do a restore on my 20 gig Ipod A1059. It started the restore and then it went to a screen showing a wall adapter. I always charge via USB and don't have a wall adapter. Help!?!

Hi,

try to reset it as described on the apple site, if you cvan't try anything that helps like restoring.
if it's the same like with other ipod it might be:
1 lock and unlock it with he hold button (just do it like HOLD on and off)
2 press and hold the select and menu buttons until you can see the apple symbol on the screen...

I hope this is useful, and greets,

Olivier.

120 Gig Zune Locked Up -Won't Unlock

One other option you may not know of is to hold the down button, and the back button at the same time. This will send the Zune into a deeper "off" state, and may reset your lock command.

If NO other options are working, you should probably try a "hard reset".

This means you will have to open the Zune itself up (you can find simple instructions for this fairly easily online) and pull a small plug out that connects the battery to the Zune itself. Don't worry, your music wont be deleted.

Restore the system files, connect H10 to recovery tool

The procedure depends on what version you have.

Below there is the procedure for 20 GB , on other models procedure is the same, but you must find the right download for your model.

For 20 GB :

TO RESTORE "SYSTEM FILES MISSING" LOCKED PLAYER

--- This applies ONLY to the 20 gig version of the H10! ---

--- This procedure formats your H10 so all data will be erased on the player! ---

1. Power off H10 - 20gig unit.

2. Insert staple or other small object into reset hole to press reset button.

3. Connect player to USB cable.

3. Hold down Select key (labeled "O" - right button on front of player) while also holding down power key until player boots.

4. Unit must display "Emergency Connection."

5. Unit will now appear as a drive under My Computer. Right click on drive, select Format. No need to change anything, just proceed.

6. Download H10_20GB_System.exe. It is a self-extracting archive. Double click on it and unzip to c:\iriver.

http://www.iriveramerica.com/downloa...0GB_System.exe

7. Locate iriver directory, double click. You will see H10. Double click once again; you will see System.

8. Right click on system, select "Send to" and choose the directory of the player.

from System Files Missing

If you have the 5 or 6 GB see iriver - H10 5/6 GB Series Support

My Sansa e250R, 2 gigs, froze. Help!

It seems like your E250R is experiencing a temporary system error due to a corrupted song, and needs to be reset. Try to "Soft Reset" your player, press and hold the "Menu" button until the LCD light and scroll wheel light turn off. Since the player was probably left on for more than 7 hours (as you indicated), you would need to re-charge the player before proceeding further. Charge it for at least 2-3 hours. Next, try to format the player to rid of any corruption then re-transfer the songs. If you have subscription songs, then I would suggest to delete the song you last played which caused the error. I hope this helps. There is another solution for the player, but for now this might actually resolve the issue. Let me know the results. :)

Locked Out of MP3 Player

Most things with "Hold" button don't turn off the device. So I surspect there might be a deeper problem. You could try to check the battery see if it's still good. As last resourt, you could try to open it up and see if some how buttons are permanently pressed. You could even try to power it on without the switches. Most of this MP3 players (the small 1 that uses only 1 battery) are pretty much self contain so there shouldn't be anything wrong.
