If the speaker works ok does it need replacing. If its only the rubber dome in the middle pushed in , put sticky tape on it and gently ease out. Ihad that once with my speakers,

Maytag MSD2650HES leaks out the bottom when we use the door water dispenser. It's 10 years old. Is it worth fixing or should we just replace it?

this fix could be a simple leaking connection or hose
you have some options
call a technician and have the problem properly diagnosed and get a quote
if the quote is around 40% of the price of a new unit then consider a new unit as parts for your unit will be at the no longer available stage lf you really do not water dispensed from the door , disconnect the system and use a jug of water in the fridge or purchase a water/ drink cooler but that is an option to consider

Taking it to a repair centre would be the best thing to do, or asking them whether it's worth them looking at it. With the price of electronic goods these days, unfortunately the customer is better off financially replacing the item rather than paying the cost of repairs.

High Mileage.... No Timing belt change!....

If you buy this car, you should change the timing belt asap. Check Edmonds, and other internet sites for average prices, (197k miles brings the price down for sure, internet sites should give an amount to deduct for the miles) average for this year is around 70k). The fog light and small dent aren't big issues, but deduct the cost of timing belt change from prices you get on the internet. Good Luck coountrycurt0

Bi amp

Hi there, I am assuming that you wish to BiWire the speakers. This involves removing the link on the back of the speaker box and running additional speaker leads for the HF drivers, as well as cable for the LF drivers. BiWiring allows you to use different cable that has been designed with high frequency signal path in mind. It may feature things like silver plating, low capacitance, or as many other "features" as can be tagged to the cable to sell it as a specialist HF conductor. The benefits may be subtle, and not be that noticeable. It does isolate the potential voltage drop along the length of the cable associated with LF energy away from the HF side of the speaker system, and take advantage of Skin Effect, where HF energy tends to travel on the surface of the conductor.
Using a single cable for each channel and leaving the links fitted is perfectly fine and will operate no worries. You could go and spend the extra cash and upgrade your cables to HF and LF BiWire.... the sky is the limit on cost here for what may not be a noticeable difference:)
BiAmping in a different story where much more performance increase is achieved by using a separate channel to amplify HF and LF signals. But you need an amp that has a built HF and LF outputs for each channel to do this. They exists but I have not seen any surround amps that have it.
Go with decent quality realistically priced speaker cable first, then add your HF BiWire to the rig if you are looking for that little bit extra from it:) Good luck, and happy listening.

Graeme

Logitech speakers

Lanailic,
I am wondering if you are talking about the metal grill that covers the speakers. If so you might try to pull the dent outward with a strong magnet but make sure that the maget is covered with something that won't scratch the paint of the grill. The grill might be made of aluminum and if so the magnet method won't help you.
For aluminum you might try making a hook out of a thick paper clip and pulling the middle of the dent out carefully. If you try to take it all apart I would guess some parts are glued or stapled and you will just get further in trouble trying to take it apart. Its worth a carefull look but do it like a surgeon and remember where all the little screws and staples and tape goes when you put it back together. Perhaps you could send a photo..?

Good luck.
