Question about Bosch WFK 2401

1 Answer

Drum will not rotate or spin

The carbon brushes were replaced and the washer was fine for a few weeks. Now on the wash cycle the drum will not move but looks like it is attempting to. Put it on the spin cycle and once the water drains, then the drum will rotate. Seems like something wrong with the load sensor. Slightest weight (even water) and it won't move.

I have the same problem with the 2401 but my motor cannot be removed easily with two bolts. I take the bolts off and the motor stays. Is there some trick here?

Long shot guess here but ...have you checked / replaced the carbon brushes of the electric motor ???? common problem I have had before.
If it is not the brushes then it could be segments of the motor burnt out which could be expensive.

Hi,

Most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.

It could be carbon brushes or electronic fault.

Do you have ability to check carbon brushes?

Feel free to ask if you dont know how to do it.

fault may well be motor brushes need replacing. check continuity across the brushes - you should be able to do this with motor in situ

Have the same problem, different model and it looks like I am outside 5 years spare parts. Probably just a belt or something from overloading. Also looks like it would nearly be cheaper to buy a new machine. You must have checked your pump???? What a rip off
