the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)

How do I get google to come up first when I turn on this pc

Assuming you are using Internet Explorer, go to your Options by clicking the little gear-looking icon in the top right corner of the browser window. Scroll down to Internet Options, then under the General tab, enter http://www.google.com in the Home Page field. Click OK, then close and restart your browser. You should automatically see Google pop up as the Home Page. Most other browsers function similarly.

Hi richard g le...

Left click on Start and look at the top of the pop open window, you should see "Internet Explorer, you can double left click on that and connect to the internet.
Also if you left click on it and hold the mouse button down you can "Drag and Drop" the internet icon on your desktop where it will be an icon on your desktop and you can connect to the internet whenever you click on it.

My laptop is HP Compaq 6720s Volume, Power, and Network notification icons are missing from taskbar. They cannot be re-enabled from the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties as they are disabled or grayed out....

This is a simple fix in windows vista or windows 7. hit the keys CTRL+ALT+DELETE simultaneously and release. The screen that comes up click on Start Task Manager.

In the task manager window click on Processes Tab. Look for explorer.exe and highlight it and click End Process. Click Yes to stop it. When it is gone from the list, click the Applications tab and click on New Task. In the run box that pops up, type in explorer.exe and click OK or hit Enter. Once your task bar and icons repair look in the system tray area by the clock and the missing icons should now be there.

After updating to IE9, my printer won't print in grayscale, only color, why?

are you trying to print grayscale copy of the broswer or webpage? or grayscale from word document?

if you are trying to print grayscale from webpage or email, check the version of you IE 9 if it is BETA version or the complete version. It might have something to do with it.

Try using mozilla firefox browser or google chrome as work around.

If there is a smartweb printing software

Disable the HP Smart Web Printing add-on loadTOCNode(2, 'workaround'); To have us disable the HP Smart Web Printing add-on for you, go to the "Fix it for me" section. If you would rather fix this problem yourself, go to the "Let me fix it myself" section.

To fix this yourself, follow these steps:
  1. Close all Internet Explorer windows.
  2. Open a new Internet Explorer window.
  3. When you see the message that states that the "HP Smart Web Printing add-on can cause Internet Explorer to crash or to stop responding," click Always open Internet Explorer without this add-on.
