Black screen, phone does not work

I just got my starcom prepaid phone about a week ago, when I plug it in to the charger the light turn on and the screen is black, and It turns off after a second once i unplug it. Is ther any way to fix it? the phone is a cdm7025 ut starcom, the model i selected is not my phone, they did not have it as an option.
