Question about Whirlpool GEW9200L Electric Dryer

Controll panel will light up ,but dryer will start up at all.

Whirlpool calypso dryer- contol panel will not cancel stays lite on towels/cotton I can increase and decrease the time and it will run in that setting but will not cancel off. i have tried unplugging and that hasn't worked..any suggestions/

CONTROL LOCK GE GAS DRYER


  1. Press and hold for 3 seconds the "Control Lock/Unlock" button on the control panel to lock the control panel.
  2. Listen for a double beep and observe the "Control Lock" status light is lit when the control lock is in effect.
  3. Press and hold for 3 seconds the "Control Lock/Unlock" button on the control panel to unlock the control panel. The "Control Lock" status light is goes out when the control panel is unlocked.

Dryer wont run but lights are on


check the door switch.or you may need to replce the main control panel. but you also need to check the thermal fuses inside the dryer cabinet,one of those can be bad.

Sears elite he dryer stopped working


Bad control panel. Replace the control panel at repairclinic.com. When your control panel clicks like that it means that a resistor or solder joint has gone bad and it is cheaper and easier to just replace the board

Dryer clicks when start button pushed but does not start.


A quarter was lodged on the thermal fuse , located below the lint screen on the blower exhaust housing, on our dryer. Remove the front lower panel , 2 screw, and you'll see 2 fuses. I suspect that our control board is burnt.

sometimes the control knobs that you set your dryer to different heating sets will go bad but it is in the control panel some where i whould say it is the heating setting
