Port Forwarding Instructions

I would suggest setting a static IP on the NAS within the subnet you have. Then log into the ip for the modem and use the web interface from the modem to configure. Dependant on which area in the settings (either NAT or firewall configuration), Look for Virtual Servers option. You should then be able to set your port forwarding for what services you wish to use. Word of warning I would suggest also using the user creation function in the NAS so users will have to authenticate before gaining access. Many of the new NAS devices have the functionality to use Active Directory/LDAP for authentication.

How to forward port for a IP camera on a Huawei 655b modem ?

You can't port forward on a modem. On a router, yes. You just need to set the a static IP on the camera outside of your DHCP range. Then select a port above 1024 and set that port to point to the static IP. You should only need to port forward UDP. Optionally you would want to setup a dyndns account since your public IP from your ISP is dhcp and therefore doesn't always stay the same.

How do i accomplish port forwarding on a motorola sb5101

motorola sb5101 is a modem. Modems don't offer any settings to change. you would have to forward ports on your router if you have one. Other wise you will have to open the ports through your current firewall.

Can't view IP cam externally

Follow The Process:-
1.Visit https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports
input the port 5000 and check is it open or not, if it is not open it means you need to check port forwarding in your main internet router/modem.
2. By Default Routers/Modems Http port it 80. so you need to change ip camera http port 80 to 81 and do port forwarding and to view on android devices check another ports in ip camera network settings. so same port forwarding and check in yougetsignal website.

Are you just using a modem and NO router? This modem has no NAT so there is no way to open ports.

You shouldn't have to change anything except on the router. Cable to modem, Ethernet from the cable modem to wan port of the router, Lan ports to PC's. Instruct your router to use cable and not dsl, set acorrdingly to DHCP or static IP, set MTU to 1500 and go...

Webcam Access through SB4220 Cable Modem?

it sounds like you have configured the router correctly. what you might be doing wrong is trying to access the camera from your internal network using your external ip address. this will not work... you need to get someone on the "outside" to try the ip address.
