Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
You can try cleaning the contacts from the printer and the ink cartridge. The dirt and dried ink usually prevents the printer from detecting your cartridge. Using a cotton bud moistened with alcohol. clean the contact surface of the cartridge and the terminals at the printer. Just make sure you don't break any terminal contact wire from the printer when you do this.
I read some procedures but I have actually not use of this, but might work for you to reset your printer. It says that if you can able to initialize your printer and give it a command to print, and wait for the error to appear.....press the Cancel to print. This will reset your printer.... I just hope this works for you.

Is the color ink cartridge a genuine Kodak cartridge? I know that in the manual they recommend that if not having recognition of the cartridge.

Normally you will need to let the printer know that you have preformed any maintenance on it by clearing the error count after such an error occurs and is fixed it is normally listed under general or service options on the printer menu but you may need to look through the users manual
hope this helps

no,ink cartridges cannot be refilled .kodak printers dont recognize refilled cartridges and as such, ink price is very reasonable, clear liquid is white coloured ink. no cartridge resetter is available, cartridges are seated in the printhead of the printer

Kodak printer works with genuine Kodak cartridges and that too brand new not refilled cartridges. The brand new cartridges have a certain code that is recognised by the Printer.Kindly buy genuine cartridges as the printer may be damaged by Non comaptible cartridges.

I have had the same issue - only bought my ESP7 last month - have been on the chat support with Kodak in US and they advise that the print head will need replacing but they couldnt send one from US and advised me to ring the 0870 Kodak support number in UK - this is a premium line and lucky I took out an instant replacement policy when I bought it so I am off to PC world to get another! Good luck with yours - suggest you phone Kodak and ask for a print head replacement which should be free if you have had the printer less than 12 months - make sure you have the serial number of the printer with you when you phone. Good luck!

Unplug printer from power
Unplug USB cable if used
Take to Back yard
Hit repeatedly with hammer
Throw in trash
These printers are JUNK.
