Question about Acer Aspire 5315 Notebook

Even though my computer shows a strong wi-fi signal, and I have the correct password I can't get connected. Windows says it failed "because of a wireless authentification problem caused by a timeout". Any suggestions?

We have had this problem before. for us restarting the router has helped out a lot.
