Question about Computers & Internet
There are a couple of components that is possibly could be, the first is the power socket itself. They have a habit of coming away from the board or physically falling to bits. There is a fuseable link that is designed to go open circuit if the incorrect voltage is applied or indeed if the power supply on the mother board goes faulty.
Hope that enlightens you.

Error code 8 means the SCSI fuse is blown off. This alarm is detected during initial processing immediately after power-on.
- Defective SCSI cable
- Other SCSI device malfunction
Check if the SCSI cable or other SCSI devices connected to the scanner cause this error. The scanner can work even after this error occurs.
If the issue persists, you may have to contact Authorised Fujitsu Engineer to rectify the error.
Hope the above information is helpful.
