Question about Palm Tungsten E Handheld

1 Answer

Palm tungsten E

I reset and I am fine. However, I do think I should change the batteries and cannot figure out how to do that. Dumb question but I am honest.

My palm tungsten e2 does not power on at all? what is the solution. i tried soft reset. it did not work out.

It could be the battery. may be the charger is stuck ,did you Connect the E2 to the charger then soft reset ?this should reset the charging circuit on the Palm.after that Let it connected to the power adapter for a good 2 hours. After that, disconnect the Palm and see if it will turn on. If not, then you need to get a replacement battery for your Palm.hpe this helps.pls do let me know thanks

Tungsten t5 : Won't power on, despite change of a rechargeable battery, soft reset, trial of hard reset. Any suggestion ? Shall I throw this device away ?

It might just be that the battery is shot and you need to replace just it, I would try that before you throw it away

Reset problem with Tungsten t3

Could be a loose battery connection. Or perhaps a bad battery. If you think you are up to it you can check your battery connection yourself. The E had a soldered connection -- difficult to replace. The E2 had a socketed connection -- easy to replace. I do not know about the T3. There are "take-apart" videos on pdaparts.com. You may be able to find a replacement battery on eBay.

Palm tungsten not switching on

Make sure that it has a full charge. I have been having problems with it not turning on as well, but it sounds like a different problem. I have bought a new battery from ebay and installed it. It is holding a charge great, but still isn't turning on all the time. I think the prob is with the datebook or something else. Good Luck!!!

USB device not recognized or has malfunctioned on hotsync

Last week, windoze started barking the same complaint at me. A hard reset (of my Tungsten E) solved the problem. Caution: A hard reset (keep the power button pressed while performing a normal reset. Only release power button, when Palm logo screen appears. The press up-key) delete ALL data (even the identity, i.e. hotsync ID) from your palm - so be sure to have a recent backup!
