Question about Cell Phones

1 Answer

I have to recreate my Contacts list every time I get a "loaner" cell phone (Casion model C711SLXB, GzOne- through Verizon). I have my own microSD chip, but the contact list isn't on it. How can I save my Contact list?

Evidently, this GzOne model does not have a "contacts" folder to save to my microSD card. The only save options are under Tool, memory, card memory for- m'Pictures' 'Videos' and 'Sound'.- I did set all these to "Card Memory". " Thanks for looking.

You need to save the contacts into the sim card, they are now being stored in the phones memory you need to save them into the sim card.

When entering a contact you might have a option to choose save in sim card instead of contacts, you can possibly copy all the contacts into the sim card.

ofcourse these features are not available in each phone, The newer touchscreen Windows mobile phones atleast have this feature build in and its very easy to copy contacts from contacts into the sim card and take them with you to another phone.

if your phone doesn't have a sim card its a different story. Took a look at a user manual of GzOne phone, there doesn't seem to be a sim card slot and it only saves contacts into the phones memory.

I saw no mention of transfering contacts to another phone.

I see the phone can be connected to a computer, possibly with a program ment for the phone you could copy / back up your contacts into the computer and restore them to another one.

Well I did find out a possible solution of transfering your contacts into the memory card and then to a desktop computer or possibly to another phone, but theres no guarantee that its going to work with the other phone:

1. Insert the appropriate memory card into the Casio GzOne device. Memory cards may vary in capacity size. Contacts files are extremely small and don't take up much space on a memory card, therefore any card of 2 MB or more should be sufficient.

2. Press the Center Select Key "Menu"," then select "Settings & Tools," then press the Center Select Key "OK." Then press "Card Memory."

3. Select "My Contacts/Move All to Card," then press the Center Select Key "OK."

4. Press the Right Soft Key "Options."

5. Select "Move," then press Center Select Key "OK."

6. Select a contact(s) then press the Right Soft Key "MARK All," then press Left Soft Key "Done." Then select "Yes," then press the Center Select Key "OK."

7. Connect card reader with USB connector to your computer.

8. Insert the memory card into the card reader.

9. Drag-and-drop and save the contacts information from the memory card to an empty folder wherever you desire.

Casio gzone type-v cell phone put power supply in heasdset port now wont power up

Have you ever heard the term PAPER WEIGHT. You just pumped about 5 volts of juice into something that puts out milli-volts. I would say its toast.
Best bet would be to take it in to Verizon and play stupid, maybe its under warranty or you have or can get insurance on it.

I am told that my Gzone does not have bluetooth. and there is no way to get a bluetooth adapter for it. Is this true?

The ONLY GzOne phone without Bluetooth capability is an older model Type-V. All other GzOne Verizon phones have Bluetooth. If you would like to specify which model you have I can direct you to enable it.
