Question about D-Link DIR-625 (790069292637) Wireless Router
I recently purchased the DIR-625 (wireless N draft) along with a D-link PCI adapter for my wife's computer. That connection works fine. My soin is using a "g" PCI card (Belkin) and his connection is fine. My computer is a recent build with the ASUS P5E3 MB. This motherbaord has an onborad Ralink (I really think it's Azureware) wirelss N draft chip. It will not work with the Router. Although it indicates a connection, the download speeds are abysmall and eventuall just locks up altoghether. I also installed a Belkin PCI (g) adapter which works fine.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Hey Raj - Unplug your modem and router. After 60 seconds plug your modem back in. When the lights return to normal (except the activity light) , plug your router back in. Give it 10 seconds and try it. If this solves your problem PLEASE rate this as fixed. If not, DO NOT RATE YET. Just add a comment letting me know what happened and I'll be happy to assist you further. Thanks.

Called the Support Line. They suggested changing the DNS Server gateway to 188.8.131.52 and the alternate to 184.108.40.206. Leave Obtain IP Address automatically. Make these changes in the properties of the NIC card. Also uncheck IPv6.

there may be several issues based upon your description based upon the pcs that attempt to access the router wirelessly -
what are the OS? Vista? XP?
Do the PCs have firewalls installed? How are they configured?
Are your PCs configured with different subnets or static IP addresses from the router? To explain - if your router has an ip address of 192.168.0.1; and your pc does not have a dynamic ip address (set by the router), but rather, is set for 192.168.1.2, you won't be able to connect - you'll need to modify the ip address on the pc.
On the router, how is the wireless setup? do you require MAC addressing? what is the security? WEP? WPA?
