If the machine has seen considerable use, brush failure is a possibility. If the machine is AC powered, the plug end of the cord can sometimes fail--just cut the cord end back a little and install a replacement plug. If it is battery powered, the battery may have lost charge or there is an intermittent connection. Good luck!

If the sander is otherwise in good shape, and hasn't been abused, I'd replace the brushes.

Can't figure out how to load the sand paper on to the mouse sander

Just stick the sand paper sheet to the base of the mouse sander... it's velcro it will hold... match the forme of the paper with the forme of the sander's base... that's all...

Cheers!

Burning Smell then spark and now it dosen't work

sounds like the brushes wore out on the inside and then burnt, check the inside brushes but if it looks burnt when you open, it is a lost cause

The belt on the sander doesn't turn. The sander has power when plugged in and the motor runs when you press the button. But the Belt and track don't turn.

Likely the gear belt that drives the drive rollaer has failed. Either it is totally gone or the teeth in a spot have been destroyed and the motor is just spinning the sprocket in the belt. The belt is about 1/2 inch wide and is covered by a belt guard.

Do you get brushes for the motor of a KA150K mouse sander? Are they easy to fit? Could you supply an exploded diagram of the unit? Thanks

I would go to Dewaltservicenet.com and download a breakdown for this tool and also you can find a local dealer in their locator section.

You're plugged in to a dead outlet, OR the rotor brushes are not in contact with the rotor, OR the power cord is partially severed,

Dead. Power is connected, wires are in tact. Just died when I was using it. Is ther an internal reset?

Try to plug something else into the outlet, just to make sure that the breaker didn't trip.
Try to run the sander without a belt. It may be in a bind.
With the sander unplugged, check the motor brushes. Replace if necessary.
If everything above checks out OK, you may have a loose wire.
