I need to know how to do a factory restore on my computer. i dont have anything important on it... as a matter of fact i kind of look forward to getting rid of all of it.

when you start the computer hit control and f11 then release them at the same time. In the Dell PC Restore by Symantec window, click Restore. Alternatively, press <Tab> to highlight Restore, and then press <Enter>. When a warning message appears stating that all data will be lost, clickConfirm, or press <Tab> to highlight Confirm and then press <Enter>.
The Progress window will appear. Once the restore process starts, Dell PC Restore by Symantec usually takes about 8 to 10 minutes to finish.
Click Finish or press <Tab> to highlight Finish and then press <Enter> to restart the computer. The software is now installed as it was when the computer was first received

Hi, Ive been having problems with my laptop Dell Inspiron 1545 i was told to reset it to factory settings, how do i do that?

Hi i'm Rain.
some of the dell models have a built in factory reset .
It will be either F9 ,F10 , F11 or F12
If this option is not avalible to you you will need to go to start then all programs then you will need to go to accessories . In accessories click system tools then system restore.
Follow the on screen instructions.
Select a date before the problem accured. click next and allow the system to restore itself.

How do i reset my dell 1545 to manufacturers settings

when the computer starts you have to do a factory reset. so right when the computer turns on start pushing F8 or F2 i am not sure which on but its one of the F keys you might have to try a few times but eventually you will bring up a menu that will allow you to do a factory reset. I am not talking about the boot menu or settings menu you will know when you pull up the right menu. If you cant do it call rent a center or aarons rental center and they know exactly how to. they do it every day.
