I suspect corrosion on the battery contacts.Try cleaning them gently with a q tip and some alcohol.Make sure the batteries are in correctly.

It will test the condition of the batteries. Turn the sight on to its brightest setting and leave it for 2-3 minutes. Then while looking at the red dot, press the battry icon button and hold it in. If the image does nothing, you are good to go. If it starts flashing, then you have less than 20% left in the batteries.

I have a 2013 600 ace tundra do not charge battery.. and skidoo just turns off... and the lights dim when i do get her going.. what could it be? she cant stay going

either a flat battery or faulty battery cell or cells. Batteries should always be fully charged using a charger before the seasons use. Also the problem with SkiDoos as they are only used a few months of the year. Do you put the battery on a battery maintainer for the summer months? I do with my boat batteries, 24 hours every month. Batteries don't like being depleted as the plates buckle. Max life on a battery would be about 5 years.

Or it could be a faulty alternator. Charge the battery first.

I just want to replace the battery in my kidde smoke combo detectitor!

Most modern detectors have a battery compartment right on the top in plain sight, but a few have the compartment underneath, while still fewer have no battery at all. For smoke alarms, if the unit is more than 10 years old the entire unit must be replaced; for CO, the time limit is usually less (5-7 years). The best way to know is to check the model number. Most units are removed by turning counterclockwise. The info you need to find whom to contact with questions should be underneath.

07 Ninja won't start

sitting is the worst thing for a bike. you have a bad battery. if you have to leave the bike for a long time, put it on a battery tender or at least start it up once a week. the gas will go bad in the fuel system and the battery will fail. also, when you get a battery, make sure to get a good one from the dealer, dont get the cheap ones from walmart or autozone. a factory battery will last 2-5 years. you will be lucky to get 1 year from a cheap battery.

Battery life-I put new batteries in and it lasted less than 30 minutes-maybe 20 pics before the camera stated replace batteries. Is there a reset-

If you are using alkaline batteries, you should switch to rechargeable NiMH batteries. I highly recommend the Sanyo Eneloop products. You should be able to get 300 to 400 shots before you need to recharge. Get two sets of four AA Eneloop batteries. Don't mix them. They hold their charge for a year and can be recharged a thousand times.

I'm sure this will sound stupid, I just bought a rifle with a Tasco red dot scope on it and have no idea how to activate the scope. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

No, that doesn't sound stupid. It's always a good idea to get all the information before using firearms and their accessories, and I'm happy to help:

The large knob on top of the scope is the rheostat, which is used to turn on the red dot, and adjust the brightness. It can be adjusted from "1" (dimmest) to "11" (brightest). You'll have to be looking straight down the scope to see the red dot, since it is only visible when you're aiming. If you turn on the scope to the brightest setting, and you look through like you are aiming, and the red dot is still not there (or very dim) then you probably need to replace the battery. It uses a 3 Volt coin-style lithium battery, type 2032. Unscrew the battery compartment on top of the rheostat and put the new battery "+" side up. Then replace the battery cover, and you should be good to go. Turn off the scope when you're done to save the batteries.

Since you bought the rifle with the scope already installed, it's probably already sighted in, or pretty close to being sighted in. Adjusting the windage and elevation on the red dot scope works just like other rifle scopes. The knob on top moves the point of impact up/down, and the knob on the side moves left/right. For this model, each click of adjustment moves the point fo impact by 1/2" at 100 yds, 1/4" at 50 yds, or 1/8" at 25 yds.

Be safe, and have fun!

Found the manual online and it said to put the batteries in backwards for at least 5 seconds to re-set the thermostat. Amazingly, this worked.
