Sorry bud, still having the same problem.

On another note, my i.p address is 192.168.1.100 so that tells me that the router is handing me this address. And also shows that the default gateway is 192.168.1.1

When i type that in to access the router it still cannot find it

Hi,

No need to worry abt this issue...

please dont use the cd to install the router...

connect the computer directly to any 1 of the 4 ports in the router..

connect the modem(came from ur internet people) to internet port of the router

in the rear panel of the router u can see the reset button..press it and hold it for a minute..

Turn off the modem and the router..after 1 minute turn on the modem and the router..wait for other 1 minute...

Now it shuld work properly...

Try it and give me a feedback

You can run the installation CD to setup Linksys router or you can do it without installation CD also.
Connect the computer to the router with the Ethernet cable.
Open the setup page of the router.
Change the Internet connection settings.
Create a new wireless network.
Connect to the network.

I will suggest you a website that you can try to setup your Linksys wireless router without installation CD.

I have done everything to in stall my Router, and I still connot get on the internet wireless I don't have a CD rom so I tried to install with the No CD Drive Installation

You may need to RESET the Netgear, power up the Netgear then press andhold the RESET button at the back of the router until all the LEDs flash. Connect a LAN cable from the Netgear to the LAN port on yourcomputer, open a browser and enter the Netgear configuration URL -
http://192.168.0.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = password You can now change the admin password and configure thewireless settings.
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2 encryption.
Apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer.
To secure your wireless network from unauthorized access, please click on thislink and follow my instructions :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security

I cant install the cd? what do i do

That depends on what you are trying to do. Is this a new router and you just physically can't run the installation CD? Either way, I'm assuming you want to just get the router online. If you have the manual it will give you the factory default address - important later - then you can press the reset button on the router until it reboots. Keep it disconnected from the internet and when it comes up, plug your internet cable (cat-5) into the first port on the router and open a web browser. Type in http://<default address> and when it comes up login as admin. If you don't have the book, I think the password is admin also. Then point and click whatever you need to configure it and save the settings. The router will likely reboot and when it comes up you can connect it to the internet and it will get an ip address. Your computer should too - if not reboot. There are other ways, but this is simplest. Hope that does it for you!

I receive the 322 error when I´m trying to install my new WRT160N v3 Router, by Cisco.

I think you are trying to install the router using the CD. This CD has a bug. Even if your computer is connected to the router , it will say the computer is not connected to the router and it will give you error 322 or 321.
You can install the router without CD also.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online through the modem only.
connect the computer and the modem to the router and open the set up page of the router.
On the set up page you can change the settings of the router according to ISP.

I have DI-604 in line between Windows Vista computer and cable modem. Works fine. Bought DIR-615 (wireless). Several places instructions say, ""Insert the DIR-615 CD into computer and click Install Router....

Contrary to the many warnings not to install the router before starting the installation with the CD, I got the installation to complete only AFTER I installed the router inline thusly:

1. Power everything off.
2. Remove DI-604.
2. Install and connect 615 router to computer and to modem.
3. Apply power to router and modem.
4. Apply power to computer and wait until Windows loads.
5. Insert 615 installation CD.
6. Follow the directions.

Cant set up router on new macbook pro

Are you trying to run the CD on the MAC computer. CD will not work on the MAC computer. But you can set up the router manually without the CD. Are you able to go online on any other computer . If your router is already set up and you are trying to add MAC computer to the network then you don't need to run the CD. you just need to add the computer to the network. If you are trying to install the router for the first time then you can do it manually. Click Here for step by step solutions

Auto run might be turned off. Click My Computer then click what ever driver you have the CD in ( D: E: ect.) Then find the installation or setup icon. Then follow instructions. It will install drivers then walk you through hooking up the router.

I have a used router its a rp614 i dont have anything else like a cd to install it to my computer or whatever i might need

Guess what? You don't need a CD to "install" software, it's already on the router.

Since I don't know what version you have (v1-v4) you'll have to find it on the bottom of the router and then link to the proper one.
http://kb.netgear.com/app/products/family/a_id/1293

It's pretty easy, just follow the tab "how to set up a router if I don't know the password". Of course, before you go to all that trouble, try plugging a wired connection into it, and go to 192.168.1.1 or whatever the gateway shows and use "admin" and "password" or "1234" for your username and password.

If none of these work, THEN one of the holes in the back is the reset button (should be a round hole between the last ethernet port and the power supply jack). You have to hold it in for 10 seconds until it blinks and then release it. You may have to power cycle the router as noted in the reset instructions.
