Question about Philips CD4451B/37 Phone
I have recently purchased a CD445 phone set with 4 phones. A few days ago I entered some numbers (0870 and 0845) in the call barring mode but now find that I get constant engaged tones when calling other land-lines and people calling me also get the engaged tone. In short I cannot make or receve any calls. Even when I press the green button I do not get the normal dial tone, only the engaged tone, a regular single bleep.
I doubt it has anything to do with the call barring, but just in case, I have tried to remove it. However, each time I put in the defaut pin number 0000
I get "NOT POSSIBLE" come up on the screen. I am sure no-one else has put in a new pin No, and I have even tried all the normal variations I might have used if I had changed it myself and not made a note of it, all respond with the same, "not possible" reply. Please advise how I can get these phones working again and how I can ensure the pin number is returned to 0000.
My land line No is 0121-707-3443 which obviously will appear engaged & my mobile number is 07973-137965. I have an elderly father of 96 who regularly needs help, so it is vital that I have the phone working very quickly again.
Ido hope you can help me,
some things to consider
Have you topped up credit on skype?
dialing code correct uk +44, mobile number +447958475236 ect?
if this does not work look in your manual and reset your phone and try again
