It's a bit convoluted, and it only works for integers, but here's one way. Press MODE 4 to switch to BASE-N (integer) mode. If the screen doesn't read "Dec" then press the x^2 key. Now, to calculate a mod b, calculate a-a/b*b. No shortcuts, no rearranging. That's a minus a divided by b times b. You have to enter both numbers twice, but you will get the modulus.

Press MODE 1 to return to your previously scheduled calculations.

The calculator does not have a utility to perform Modulo calculations.

I am sorry, but I was under the impression that the modulo operation involves integer divisions only. This means it involves only integers. However 5^(-1) is a rational number that is not an integer. And then I could be wrong.

As to doing modulo operations with this calculator, well you can't. Sorry again.

Your calculator cannot perform inverse modulo calculations. To calculate yourself ( with pen and paper) you should consult a book on algebra.

One way to do this is to simplify it piece by piece. We know 11^23 = 11 * 11 * 11 * 11^20, and we know

that 11 * 11 * 11 = 1331 in to find this modulo 187 we look at 1331/187 which is > 7, so we can take 1331 - 7 * 187

which is 22. So 11^3 mod 187 is 22. we can simplify 11 ^23 = ( 11^3 ) * 7 * 11^2 because we know 11^3 = 22

we can write this as 22 * 7 * 11^2. and 11^2 mod 187 is 121 so now have a number to modulo.

11*7*121 mod 187 = 9317 mod 187 this is 88. Hope this helps you understand simplifying.

If you are thinkink of the modulo function, usually shortened to mod(, I am sorry to say it but that function does not exist on the calculator.

However, there is MODE button that one uses to set the operation mode of the calculator.

You have three principal mode setting

COMP: the general computational mode

SD: a statistics mode to calculate Standard Deviations

REG: to perform REGression analyses on statitical data.

Once you have chosen the preferred calculator mode (COMP, SD, or REG) other choices (dependent on the main calculator mode) will be available.

However, there is MODE button that one uses to set the operation mode of the calculator.
