I can only receive faxes when the PC connected to it is turned on.
I've reset to defaults, checked everything. We did have a power outage about a month ago, and the clock on the Lexmark X5470 had to be reset. But it's weird when the computer is off the fax won't pick up. There is an answering machine inline, the rings have been set, which is why it Does pick up when the computer is turned on. It did receive faxes when the PC was turned off, up until about 3 weeks ago. Could I have set something wrong when re-setting the clock from the power outage ?
Thanks!
If u are using an answering mech...then u need to set the rings...on the fax greater than the answering mech...
Or else Clear the NVRAM....(Note u will loose all the contacts saved in the fax mech)
