I need a repair kit for a apex gb43hd10 convergance problem

Check the site www.TvRepairKits.com - they will not have your model listed but they can build a customer convergence kit for many models. You just need to send them a few photos of your boards.

In the middle of my tv at the bottom the are green blue and red colors what can that be

The three CRTs (green, red and blue) are out of alignment in that location or the convergence circuit has failed altogether. Look in the users menu to see if they have a "converge or convergence" option to do a simple alignment.

If not, download the service manual and follow the instructions on how to do the alignment.

Note: if you can access from the user's menu, but the colors do not move when you try to adjust, then the convergence circuit has failed and will need to be repaired.

Auto focus button was pushed a few times and now our Apex TV won't focus at all.

likely a convergence failure. if you push the button over and over, sometimes it will throw the set out so far that it cannot align anymore.. the sensors need to see the lines to do the auto alignment. you probably need new convergence ICs, repair is tricky and requires soldering. estimate = 200-350 $

Come up 3d how to change

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.

Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony,Samsung, JVC, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Akai, Pioneer, Hitachi, Zenith, and others. You can get a convergenece repair kit wiith instructions from the links below.

Here are some of the most common problems with these sets...

  • Screen looks 3D
  • Colors don't line up
  • One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
  • Screen is bowed or warped.
  • TV shuts off after powering on - TV may also make a chirping noise.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the settings menu then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move RED and BLUE in all directions - up, down, left, and right.

If you can't move them in all directions or cant move them far enough your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

Note: If you TV has as flash focus or magic focus button only try pressing the button. If it fails to fix the convergence your need to fix it. See below for a solution

You will need to replace the convergence chips and possibly some convergence resistors and pico fuses.
This is a a fairly easy DIY job if you know what you are doing. If you have never done this before we would advise calling a shop or if you want to do it yourself get a complete kit with instructions and support from www.TvRepairKits.com

Your Convergence is off. Go through the menue to the CONVERGENCE and follow the on screen instructions.

Start with the RED gun and align each cross point starting with the upper left corner.

You will be pulling the red to match the green.

If the television shuts down during this process, it will reset the convergence and you can try again.

After you get the red gun perfectly aligned with the green, start with the blue.

follow the on screen directs and don't forget to store.

Use the remote for these adjustments.

I hope that this helps..
