I agree if it is running 2000 or older it will not be able to pick up the USB. Go to the manufacturer's website and install a driver

Disassembling logitech alto stand

You need to disassemble the two part on the right side of the stand, where the USB connections are and where you can push the connect button. This is fixed with glue and some kind of tape. Use some force (I used screwdriver) :) Under this you will find 3 and 4 screws. Then you can disassemble it completely (see photo)!

I can't get the keyboard to work. I can't get the wireless stand and keyboard to connect where I can use the keyboard.

Double check your batteries first. Secondly, if you havent already, go to logitechs website and download the software drivers for your particular keyboard and see if it helps!

I have plugged my Alto Coredless but it is not work. The like in the stand is not on.

  1. Make sure you have plugged in the stand’s USB plug into your note book first, and turned on your computer.
  2. Next, on the right side of the stand, there is a connection button.
  3. Press it. You will see lights (A and 3) Flashing back and forth.
  4. While the lights are flashing back a forth, look under the keyboard inside the battery compartment.
  5. Place in battery slot, 2 (AAA) batteries.
  6. Next to the battery slot is a little red button, press it.
  7. The lights on the stand should go out.
  8. Your keyboard is connected to your laptop.

Have you tried the connect button underneath the keyboard? Sometimes they get out of sync.

You will have to press the sync button on the stand first and then press the sync button on the keyboard. Good Luck

Cordless Numeric Pad

If you are using a cordless numeric pad, it likely came with a USB connector. Plug the USB connector in. This should automatically install with Windows plug and play.

You should then be able to punch the numbers in just like you would on a keyboard when you have excel open.
