Question about Thermador SC302T Electric Double Oven

1 Answer

After using the oven it will randomly start to beep and the only solution is to turn off the circuit breaker. Just now I was usin the self clean and an hour into the cycle, the oven beeped and shut off with the fan still running.

That is what I figured. No codes. Is the controller only available through thermadore or are there aftermarket ones available. Also is it reasonably straight forward to replace?

Thanks. Did you get my next question. Is the controller available aftermarket and is it reasonably easy to do myself. I have basic electric and mechanical skills

The beep sound comes when the control (ERC) has gone bad and needs replacement. However, please let me know if you see any error codes as well. Hope this helps....

Sorry about late response...somehow I missed on your email. You can either buy it from Thermador and or contact Sears or buy the parts from this link.

Frigidaire 30" Self-Cleaning Freestanding Gas Range, electricity randomly turns off and on.

Good Morning Jason, thank you for your post!

First, I suggest plugging another appliance in the same circuit/plug to confirm that the issue does not lie with your household circuit. If your circuit breaker is working properly and the issue continues, then it sounds like your range may possibly have a faulty power supply within the unit, a communication issue with the EOC (electronic oven control), or a potential wiring failure. I am fairly confident that an authorized service agent will be able to restore your appliance to its normal operating condition. You can often locate a qualified service technician on the manufacturer website.

Best regards!

Unplug or turn the circuit breaker off to the unit for 10 minutes and retry. If you see no change then contact Frigidaire directly.

We set our wall oven for self-clean and received an error message after about 4 hours that told us to turn off the circuit breaker. We are unable to turn the circuit breaker back on again.

If you cannot turn the breaker back on then it is no good...some breakers do take some very firm effort to get them to come on...but the oven may have ruined the circuit breaker...

Started the cleaning cycle, and cycle stopped with a beep. Power is still on. Error F5 E1. The door is now locked.

Press the self-clean button. The panel becomes blank(---), then press the up arrow( ^ ). The panel will appear 3:00 (indication for the duration of self-cleaning). The oven will lock on its own and start the self-cleaning.

This code means the control has detected a problem with the door latch switch. Switch is defective and needs replaced. Part # is W10107820 and cost is $39.99. You can get it at this LINK
Before calling a repair shop,go to the circuit breaker box and turn off the power to the oven. then turn it back on and then see if the door is released and the error is cleared.
its probaly bent door latch or door sensor gone bad. try pushing on the door when you start the clean cycle see if that helps.
if not our suggestion would be to replace the part....

Was cleaning oven other night...wouldn't unlock when done...beeping f-3 f-2...trying to cook now in oven and it just keeps shutting off and beeping out of the blue f-3 f-2 again...cake in oven...HELP...

The only thing that I can suggest to you is to locate the breaker for the stove in the breaker box and turn off the power. Leave the power off for at least a minute. This will reset the oven to factory defaults.
Once you turn your breaker back on you should be able to open the oven.

I am having the same problem that many others are. My screen went blank and when the buttons are pushed they just beep. This sounds as if it is some sort of malfunction within the circuit board? I plan to...

It is and you are doing what you should. We know that a lot of these problems are being caused by the heat from a self-cleaning cycle rising up into the circuit board. I get a lot of these problems right after someone self-cleaned their oven, although it can fail completely months after the cleaning cycle damaged the board. So in the future try and use the self-clean cycle very sparingly and set the timer to clean for only two hours if it will allow it. My best advice is to not use the self-cleaning clycle, use aluminum foil in the oven floor, and hand clean the door and walls as you use it. Do not use oven cleaner on this as most of the cleaners will damage the self-cleaning oven liners. Change the aluminum foil when it gets dirty and never self clean with the aluminum foil in the oven. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

I cleaned the oven and now I get the error F3 - I don't have a manual and I don't know what that means.

i recomend you not use the self clean function 90 percent of aour calls are after a self clean --temp sensor or stuck key pad generaly the latter but before replacing any thing turn off breaker for about twenty minuts and thaen reset do not use if oven starts to beep within 24 houres you have a stuck key pad you must replace

After self cleaning ge oven, door won't unlock

I turned off circuit breaker to the oven and tried to open it. It did not. I did it again and waited for a few minutes, it worked and I was able to open the door.
