You should have settings in your setup menu that allow you to center and adjust the height and width of the picture field which will allow you to move those lines (caused by a natural necessity of the receiver; synchronization) out of your view.

Samsung LCD LN T 4071F has horizontal lines rolling on the screen

There are tow possibilities for this fault. The first one is signal interference. The second is with its digital main board. Check this site for more details. It has more than 1400 posts to different brands of electronic entertainment and other equipments. All posts referrers with the repair and fault finding to electronic entertainment equipments. It will be best to view it either in Flipcard or Timeslide option, can be selected by the sidebar tag at the top left of the display screen. Timeslide view will be the best to select. If you are using Google Chrome as browser, Flipcard option will be the best.

My flat screen tv is rolling

If the picture itself is rolling it's probably the Main PCB. If there are just rolling horizontal type lines or bars this is most likely interference.

Shadow lines down left side of screen

Replace main board, the one with tuner on it.
might be quite expensive or, worse, no longer available. Samsung is not good for backing up their products. You may consider to "Shop at Jimmy", instead. But, they are all used.
Good luck.

My 32 inch samsung lcd tv has got faint black lines running down the screen ,its nearly 4 years old but i expected it to last longer than that, and ive had sky hd box recently would that have anything todo...

Are these lines on both side of the screen or what location are they in? They can be caused by watching 4:3 television with the black bars on both sides. Watching 16:9 full screen HD wont cause issues with that. If only on the sides there is not much you can do except put a pure white screen on the TV and leave that on for at least 6 hours. This will age the panel a little but in theroy wil even the pixel burn you have to make the lines less noticable. Please take a few moments to rate my answer. Thank you

Black line down the left side of the screen

This is a bad panel. The panel is very expensive to replace. It would be cheaper to buy a new tv. Sorry about the bad news.
