A lot of times the printer has a small piece of paper jammed in it or has had a jam and will not recognize the new paper. Try this to see if it resolves your issue. http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-a-Paper-Jam

1350 toshiba copier copy gets stuck

You need to clean the feed rollers for all your trays and for your document feeder or adf. If that doesn't work then replace them. But before you do that try checking if there is any paper, ripped or otherwise blocking paper path and removie it. It may just be that simple.

HP PSC 1350 printer won't feed paper

Check the gear on the left side of your printer where the disk encoder strip is attach, the gear is not holding the metal shaft your need to replace that gear. The problem is in the inner hole where the shafting is attached.

HP 1350 all-in-one ran out of paper.

Every time this device runs out of paper, it's a hassle. I powered off the pc and the printer, and then moved the usb cable to another usb port. Power on the printer and after it has gone thru its startup, power on the computer. Then the jobs in the queue printed just fine.

Scan Editable Documents to Microsoft Word 2007

Hi - off the top of my head, without going in to check the settings at the moment, I would say to go to your PRINTERS & FAXES folder (Start/control panel/Printers & Faxes), and make sure that the printer you want things to go to is set as your DEFAULT printer.

We have the Home & Student edition as well, and it has different defaults - it took me a couple of tries to print to realize that it was trying to send things to a printer/program that really didn't even exist! When we installed MS Office HSE07, it did a lot of tweaking to our system without permission or our knowledge! Shame on MS! It added a printer that we didn't even have, and changed the default to that new odd printer!

Also, for a scanned file, you can set your computer to automatically recognize scanned files as a certain type. Did you want to do that? I hesitate to say set it to have all scanned items sent directly to the printer, since you might scan things you do not need to print!

I don't have my 1350 hooked up at the moment, or I'd jump in and find the exact settings for you (we also run XP). But, it really sounds like the installation of the MS Office has tweaked your printer default settings.

Check that first, and see if that will solve the problem...
Good luck!

Try cleaning your printer and its rubber rollers. Also make sure there is no object stuck inside the printer that prevents the printer from loading the paper smoothly. may be you have no other problem.
