You have to do the steps in the correct order or the system won't work. Start with the TV and Vsmile OFF
step 1) put the cartridge in and make sure it is all the way in
step 2) turn the TV on
step 3) turn the Vsmile on
if it still doesn't work you can try taking the batteries out or unplug the adapter to let the system clear. Then try the steps again. Good luck!

How do I turn up volume on HP computer?

If I understand correctly, you had a tech assisting you earlier and he turned off the sound and now you want to turn it back on - is that right?
Check in the lower right corner of your monitor for the speaker icon. If you see a red circle with a line over the speaker it means the tech just muted the sound. Click on the Speaker icon and open the volume control - you will be see the Mute option and just click on it.

If it is more, and I misunderstood your initial description, please respond with the model of your computer, the operating system and what the tech was called in for in the first place.

Sylvania 13tv/vcr, has this code on the tv screen (8c1-0.19) when turned on. The TV has a picture, but no sound. The power supply seems to be okay, because when it is turned on it will play for hours,but...

The fact sound works for a moment when power button is held and that you have to unplug to turn off or on means not a circuit problem but that the set is likely in the tech mode or service adjust mode.

I think the best way to resolve this is call Philips (they are Sylvania, Magnavox, and Philips) customer service with the model number and talk to a tech (not the idiots in CS) who will know how to exit this and what the code means--code will tell the tech what is going on.

You are going to have to call a tech. There are capacitors on the DM board that require replacement. Only qualified tech's should attempt this repair.
