My porter cable roofing nailer rn175 type 1 it fire's and the rod stayed out and air comes out what part do I need to fix

Could have check valve out of place or broken. Easy to check. Remove head and pull out the cylinder and the round cylinder spacer. Look for black band that should have been covering small holes just below the cylinder spacer. Replace band if broken or if good install the cylinder ring on the cylinder then install the band and finally reinstall the assembly into gun. Look for any broken/cracked parts in the head of the gun. Good luck

Ford truck xlt ranger2.3 litter oil in throttle body ? good or bad

I found out with my old 94 Ranger 2.3L that the oil breather does not have a filter element, which causes oil to "naturally" (as Ford puts it) accumulate in the throttle body and air intake hose. You can get an inline breather element at any parts store for a few bucks and install it on the breather line without harming anything, and this will stop. Cheers.

Firing pin wont retract

If you haven't gotten it unstuck by now try this: take the air line off so it isn't pressurized take a punch about the same or slightly smaller than the hammer/firing pin/the part that drives the tack, and drive it back to where it clears whatever is jamming it. Clean it, oil it and try again. If it still fails, here is a site that offers parts and kits:

If you have another source you can try it as well. Good luck.

Hi just bought a mito found oil cap down near back brake lever is this gearbox oil?

Buy a manual and then you will have all of the information you need. it only costs about 25GBP and can save you hundreds in maintenance costs. The cap you have found is most likely the gearbox oil cap.

My RN175 shoots you think it shot the nail, but when you move the gun to shoot the next nail the nail you just shot falls out the end of the gun. What could cause this?

The driver is coming down far enough to break the nail off the strip but not far enough to drive it in. This could be caused by any of the following:
- The driver is broken off and too short to drive the nail
- The driver is bent and doesn't travel all the way down
- The seal/o-ring on the piston is damaged and air is leaking past it
Any of the above will require you to remove the head and inspect the driver, piston and o-rings or have a service center check it out.

How do you set the depth on a Bostitch N57c coil nailer besides lowering the air pressure

Hello. The only way to set the depth is to lower or raise the air pressure. The rn175, however does have a depth setting feature which you may find useful for your app. http://www.protoolreviews.com/reviews/air-tools/bosch-roofing-nailer-rn175

Oil compasity

Hi! Have you found the sight/inspection glass near or around the oil filler or clutch cover? it is a small round piece of glass with two level bars half way up the side. After draining the oil (10/40 15/40) synthetic's best.
Keep the bike upright and slowly fill with oil watching the sight glass(Possibly with a torch) until it comes half way up then your done. Other than that if your oil cap is the type with dipstick/level carefully do the same as above until required level is shown on stick.
Good luck!
Hope this helps.
