Ingenico 3070

If the ingenico is communicating with the pos system and just not reading cards, the mag stripe reader might need to be cleaned. try to clean it with a mag stripe cleaning card ( plastic/cotton card with cleaning solution ), swipe that through a couple times and run a test transaction. **folded paper towel and some rubbing alcohol works too if you don't have a card** I've cleaned alot of them that way working for a major drug store chain.

P330i gives out of ribbon error. When completing command "!SA" it ran the blank card through the printer into the other side. After right after that the printer flashed the "out of...

The printer uses three sensors in relation to the ribbon. The RFID (chip on ribbon). When you go into the printing preferences for the printer it should detect any color ribbon, and say ribbon type changed to (ribbon type). If so both the ribbon and RFID sensor are working properly. Then there is the color ribbon sensor, which has the blue and amber LED's, and is used to detect the panel of the ribbon. Thirdly the flag sensor which is on the back end of the supply reel, to detect the ribbon turning. . Additionally, CALIB command has never worked for me. !SA is an auto self adjustment for multiple sensors. additional you can use !CSA 0 without ribbon in machine, then run !CSA 1 with a ribbon (color ribbon is a must with any calibrations). You can also run !SAP 0 for card sensors !SAP3 for mag encoder card sensor. !SAP 1 for ribbon calibrations. if all else fails, you can manually set the ribbon by using !CSA 5 70 120. Please remember these commands are for genuine zebra I Series printers, and that they are case sensitive, and spaces are present. If none of the above corrects the issue you may need to replace one of the three sensors, the daughter board, or possibly the main logic board.

I have Zebra P330i printer, have done the cleaning using short and long cards. Display shows "Ready". On printing using color ribbon, the messages (Printing Yellow, Printing Magenta...)appear on...

Knowing that you were able to complete the proper cleaning procedure using the short and long cards, and the printer is on ready status, try to change the ribbon and test. Make sure the card is properly inserted with the magnetic stripe on the top facing down. Also make sure that the ribbon is properly loaded. There should be an instruction on the cover for its proper orientation.
If it still does not print, make sure your configuration on the printer is set to the proper type of cards HICO or LOCO and the ribbon type is properly set to YMCKO for color. Also, check if you have enabled mag stripe encoding or if you don't need to have it enabled. Enabling means that the printer will check for the mag stripe if its good or bad. If bad the printer will reject the card.
Do a self test print by following the below. 1. Set the printer's power switch (on the back of the printer) to the OFF ( O ) position. 2. While pressing the Printer's front panel button (next to the LCD display panel), switch the printer ON ( ' ). 3. Hold the panel button until the LCD display panel reads "SELF TEST". 4. Release the panel button, and the test card will print
If no prints, observed for any mechanical errors on the printer. Normally mechanical errors are detected by the printer with corresponding error message.
If none of the above works then you might have a print head problem. You may attempt to clean it by following below. Else if it does not help then have your print head replaced.
A cleaning using the Cleaning Cards usually suffices. However, a separate Print Head cleaning can remove more stubborn deposits when print anomalies persist. To avoid deposits, only use foam-tipped swabs. 1. Place the printer power switch in the OFF ( O ) position. 2. Open the Main Cover, release the Print Head Carriage, and remove the ribbon. Leave the Print Head Carriage in its raised position. (For details, see Chapter 2.) 3. Clean Print Head by moving an alcohol-moistened swab tip side-to-side across the Print Head elements. Only use moderate force. To re-order swabs, please refer to the Media List on the Windows Drivers and User Documentation CD supplied with this printer. 4. The swabs can also be used in a similar manner to clean the optional magnetic encoding head.

My datacard printer ribbon is supposed to get upto 500 images, but it is skipping every other color series so I am only getting 250 images

Every time you open the printer, it advances CMYK panel 01 to position the print head. This can cause loss of ribbon. Avoid opening the printer to the maximum you canoptimize your prints.

I recently changed from Preface to ID Works for printing my cards. At the same time I installed the Datacard printer driver ver 4.0 from CD. I have a SP 35 with and optional mag stripe kit installed. Now I...

Most likely your Mag-stripe info is missing from the card project in IDworks.
If you imported your projects from preface, its likly the box to include mag-stripe config was not transfer d.
enter idworks designer and click VIEW then field connections, there should be some info tied you mag-stripe field 1,2, or 3 of not there is the problem.

Next check printer plug ins in IDworks admin to make sure the mag-stripe plugin is installed. Also i would check Datacard.com Download section make sure you have newest and correct driver for your OS
if none of this works, uninstall everything (exporting projects) and reinstall.

Mag-strpe encoders can become defective, the encoder may need to be replaced.

It could mean that the ribbon sensor on the printer is broken. Sounds like you need to send back to zebra for repair. This is free if printer is still under warranty. check out zebra's website for info on how to return printers for service.

Printing problem

No mag encoder means you're trying to send encoding data to the printer but the printer isn't configured with an encoder. A mag encoder writes data to the magnetic stripe you see on the back of some cards, like credit cards. Most likely, the printer doesn't have an encoder installed, but if it does, it may be turned off in the printer settings.
If you're sure that it does have an encoder, you can check/change the setting by going into the menu on the printer. Go to Menu -> Setup Printer -> Change Parameter -> Encoder Settings -> Mag. It will say none or installed. Note that this can be changed to one or the other whether or not the encoder is physically installed or not. This only turns it on if the encoder is there.
Hope this helps.

Printer Head Cleaning

It's in the blue plastic cover. Power down the SP75. Open cover to see the printhead. You'll see a green stripe. The printhead is in front of the stripe. Use an alcohol pen to run back and forth over the printhead. Do not drip alcohol onto the print ribbon. Allow a minute or two for alcohol to dry before reclosing the cover.
