Enterr the sale amount and press X then 7 then the % key. If there's no % key enter the amount X .07 the =.

Example: \$5.00 x 7% = .35
Or \$5.00 x .07= .35

### How do i add % to money like a item is 22.5 and sails tax is 7% is it like 22.50 x7% or + 7% how do i do this

Sales tax is simply a digital factor of a dollar, so 7% would be 7 cents on each dollar. the way to figure 7% sales tax on \$22.50 would be: \$22.50 X 0.07 = \$1.58 for a total of \$24.08.

### Posting progress payments

If you are paying your sales tax by invoice date - the payments will not affect your liablity. ie you owe the whole amount of sales tax as of the date of the invoice. If you are paying sales tax as of the time of payment. You will owe sales tax at the time you receive payment.
Since you are using progress invoicing, the sales tax would be come due at the time of the invoice. If you are just receiving payments, you would receive payments (as you would with any customer, and not invoice until time of completion. You would just need to make sure that your preference for sales tax due date is set to Invoice date, not time of payment.

### Help please

hi lilwallace;
The federal excise tax of 8% on the round trip ticket is calculated by multiplying 8% times the price of the ticket. Remember 8% is written as .08 when we multiply.
\$832 times .08 = \$66.56 is the excise tax

\$832 times .06 = \$49.92 is the sales tax

Now we just add the ticket price plus the excise tax and the sales tax and we get \$832 + \$66.56 + \$49.92 = \$948.44

Hope this helps Loringh PS Please leave a rating for me.. Thanks
