Microsoft Xbox have some common problem like red lights, E74 and Disc Read Error. Microsoft is providing extended warranty for red lights problem, Means you will have to spend some money in order to get this problem repaired from Microsoft also you will have to wait for 3-4 weeks to get your Xbox back. There are many reasons disc read error can occur in your Xbox like your disc might not be clean, laser might also be dirty and many more common problem. I would suggest you to first clean out the disc, you are using. If that don't solve the problem you can also take the help of DIY guide available at Internet. If you are experiencing this problem while attempting to play a Nintendo GameCube Game Disc, check the model number on your Wii console. Only Wii consoles with model number RVL-001 are compatible with Nintendo GameCube Game Discs. (learn more)

PS3 won't accept certain disks. A few disks i have won't play in my ps3. it happens to both blu-ray movies and games, and it seems to only happen with blu ray disks. i'll put the disk in, and...

Hello
The noise is actually a product of dust from a blue ray disc.Over time these discs heat up and leave a residue on the blue ray lens.
Try using a lens cleaner to remove dirt and clean lens.
Also i read an article that using a wireless controler can also cause freezing of the blue ray.

Game stuck in console will not come out

My friend had the same problem once. repeated ejecting didn't work because there is a small bracket that retains a disc in the slot until eject is pushed. Sometimes, this can get stuck and the only solution I found was to open the unit up, clean and regrease the offending gear, and play on. Opening the console will void any warranty, though.
Also, I would highly suggest that you NOT attempt to pry the disc out as it will damage the disc and STILL not be removable. As I said, there is an arm that moves across the disc entry that prevents it's moving unless it is ejecting.

Won't eject

When you hit eject, do you hear the motor attempting to eject the disc? If no sound at all, it could be a bad eject button. If you hear the motor of the drive attempting to eject the disc, then there is a problem somewhere inside of the Wii's drive. The following website sells the DVD drive mechanisms and does repairs on the Wii as well:

Disc won't eject.

When you hit eject do you hear it attempting to push out the disc? It may be blocked by something. If it is not attempting to push out the disc then something isn't registering with the eject button. In this case, power down the wii, unplug all plugs from the back, wait 90 seconds or so, plug in just the power plug and hit the eject button (before hitting power or anything else). If it still does not try to eject then either the button is broken or the disc drive in the wii has died.

It is still probably under warranty from Nintendo, they can fix it for free for you. If anything, give them a call at:

System wont load or eject any discs...

Remove the disc drive from the console. Remove the cover very carefull. Take the top part off (remove the 5 screws) and open the disc drive like a book.
Carefull remove the guide mechanism (the front part -1 screw).
The clicking noise is caused by the fact that the left side mechanism that raises and loweres the deck when the disk is inserted or ejected is stuck. Carefull push back the piece of plastic with teeth located on the left side of the deck (as you are looking at the disk drive the oposite side with the lens driving motor) until it clears complete the plastic round gear that drives that part.
mount back the guide mechanism, and the top part.
Attached the ribbon cables to the unit , power the console and keep the eject button pushed for about 10-15 seconds.
That will reset all the gears and stuff.
Worked for me when I experienced that issue.

Ps3 jammed disc

Unfortunately their is no step by step or guaranteed method to fix this. Here are a few things you could try: turning it off and on, press/hold the eject button, resetting while holding the eject button, shaking or tapping it a little while trying to eject it, holding it different ways ex. face disc opening down towards floor while gently tapping and pressing the eject button. Essentially do whatever you can to get the disc to jar loose, >but whatever you do, don't for any reason stick anything in the slot or try to open the case <Doing this will void the warranty for sure! If none of these work your last resort would be to return it for a new one (providing you still have your receipt and it's less than a year old) or take it to a costly repair guy.
