Question about Tradesman 8480K 38Inch to 114Inch 2in1 StaplerBrad Nailer with 5000

Open Question

When I pull the trigger there is just a slight shot of air. Drive pin seems to be in its right position to fire, but there is no response other than the hiss of air.

Trigger problem on my Yugoslavian SKS rifle. when the bolt and carrier are locked in the firing position it pushes down the pin on the trigger group and the hammer will not fire. If you pull the bolt...

I'm having trouble visualizing which pin (firing pin???) you're talking about. How sure are you that the rifle has been reassembled correctly? Could you post a picture so we can see how it's assembled? One shot (no pun) of the assembled trigger group would be good, then another shot of the bolt & carrier.

N88rh bostitch nailer fires first shot without trigger depressing

Worn orings in the gun and the trigger valve will cause the gun to fire upon connecting the air. It is a good practice to remove the nails when you remove the airline until you can replace the trigger valve. I believe that you gun uses a TVA6 valve. It should be replaced when it begins to leak or if the trigger pin seems loose and rocks from side to side. Factory valve costs about 25 dollars and aftermarket sells for about 12 to 18 dollars. Good luck

Pin nailer problem

Nice video, you did not mention a model number so I will give you general information. If your nailer is oil free type (gun will have stamped on body, no oil ), and you have been using oil directly or indirectly, most likely rubber diaph. is bad or leaking slightly thru head. Replace headvalve. If your nailer uses orings in the head /headvalve instead of diaph. type firing valve, remove head pull headvalve and apply plenty of white grease or silicone paste and retest. If gun works with grease then most likely needs oring kit and or trigger valve or orings in the trigger. If the gun still will not function correctly with grease in the head, then orings in the trigger are worn. Good luck

Pneumatic stapler trigger stuck

The click sound indicates that the headvalve opened to fire piston down the barrel, however piston is already down or is stuck in-place. If the piston/driver is not broken or stuck, push piston to top of cylinder to reset. If only one shot and piston stays down, most likely the check band is broken. Check band is on the outside of cylinder (lower part) is is usually an oring or band of rubber covering small holes drilled into cylinder. Check valve /band is what causes the piston to return to top. If check band is good, most likely piston is bent or oring is too tight. If you open the gun, lube all parts with white grease or silicone paste lube. Good luck

Gun is full of nails, but acts like it is empty (the plunger won't advance). You go to tap it with the trigger pulled, and it just does nothing. Seems like firing pin is not getting air or somet

If no air is leaking from the gun, take out the nails, remove trigger by removing 3mm hex head bolt to expose the trigger pin. With air connected and side door open so that you can see the feeder, quickly depress the trigger pin with finger. Gun should fire. If gun does not fire (only makes air sound at trigger) dissconnect airline, remove head and lube headvalve with white grease and reinstall. Test again. If ok replace trigger. If still no joy, replace trigger valve with new factory or generic (part # TVA6). If gun fires but does not activate the feeder claw, remove two 6mm hex bolts from front of gun and split apart upper and lower body and check white oring (part # 149885) Good luck

Tnt brad nail wont fire

If you hear a slight discharge of air from trigger area and no fire, could be a lack of lubrication of the headvalve or safety foot is not pushing in the firing pin. If the safety foot is not pushing the firing pin, examine parts and repair as needed. If safety parts seem to be working ok, remove the head and lube headvale with silicone paste or white grease.

Pull the trigger, no nail, only continuos air until I release tyhe trigger. not jammed, gun is clean, very new. acted that way right out of the box then it worked and then not and so on, worked...

Safety foot and lever inside of trigger are not pushing the trigger pin all the way in. To verifty that the gun will fire, remove the nails to allow for dry fire. Remove the trigger to reveal the trigger valve. Hold the gun against old coiled rubber hose or soft wood. Very quickly depress the trigger pin all the way in. If the gun fires, adjust safety foot and trigger so that the trigger pin is fully depressed when your bump fire. If the gun will not fire after adjustment, remove the head and lube headvalve/orings with silicone paste lube.

Only shoots out one nail for every 4 or 5 trigger pulls

The gun will miss fire if the driver does not return to top position allowing nails to move into position. Could be bent driver, faulty trigger, cracked lower bumper or check valve not in place. Easy to check if trigger. Remove air supply, and remove the pin holding the trigger. Fire the nailer by depressing the firing pin with your finger. If the gun works ok, single fire trigger is faulty or safety foot is out of adjustment. If still miss fire, remove head and pull out cylinder and piston. Check for bent driver, cracked lower bumper or black band (check valve) is out of place on outer part of cylinder covering a row of holes.

I would look in to the bolt and check that it moves freely, also check that is properly lubed, and finally that your upgrade bolt does not need a different spring. I would also check the batteries on the grip if it is an E-trigger.
