I just replaced the batteries in my L110 and when I click to take a picture the camera shuts down. I replaced the batteries again and the same thing happens. Camera is about 6 months old.

I've found that the type of battery makes a difference. I always use the lithium energizer, they have alot of life to them, last longer and allow you to take many photos. You can also get rechargeable to save money in the long run. Just make sure they are of good quality, so basicaly I would not go with the off brand batteries or standard AA, lithium works the best and run around $9.00, but worth it. Hope this helps :)

It could be a bad battery charger circuit in your camera. Try charging your batteries in an external charger. Adorama.com sells an Delcon Devices external battery charger for $9.95. If that works, your problem is solved. If not, you will need to send the camera to Nikon USA for repair.

LOST CD FOR L110 TO DOWN LOAD TO COMPUTER

You may download the current versions of all (free) Nikon software from here.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Nikon Transfer or Picasa.

How do I know what f stop and shutter speed my camera used after a picture was already taken? I need the information for a photography class. It shows it when the picture is being taken but I didn't...

All of that data is stored with the picture. Transfer your pictures to your computer. Any competent photo cataloging program will show you the data. For example, in Nikon ViewNX2 if you double-click a picture, you'll see it larger and with a panel to the right showing the data.

Cannot see any thing on the LCD screen from my Nikon coolpix L110. I assume the screen must be gone, can it be replaced. the camera seems to work. I took pictures with the blank screen and downloaded it ...

Yes, LCD screens can be replaced fairly easily. The part if you want to do the repair yourself is about $45, and the repair service if you want to send in the camera and have it fixed for you is roughly $77 total.

The difference between a professional and an amateur is not the camera. A pro gets paid for his pictures, an amateur does not.
Go to your local library and browse through some introductory photography books. They will explain how to do things like shoot with a narrow depth of field (blurred backgrounds).

HI, I have nikon L110 and when i click pictures without flash in portrait mode and auto mode it takes long time to display on screen after clicking the pictures .. but when i use flash it comes quickly ....

It takes the same amount of time after the picture is taken for it to appear on the screen. Without flash there's less light and the camera requires more time to collect enough light and take the picture.
