Magenta bleeding problem

I have replaced the fuser roller and cleaned up the printer and the first time a print called for magenta it started all over again. Is there a service manual available for this printer.

Magenta bleeding problem: Possible solution found for my problem. I noticed a strip of thin black plastic over the left end of the magenta feed roller. It was wrapped over the white plastic gear. None of the other rollers had this attached on any of the ends. Looks like it may have been left on after assembly of the printer. I removed this strip by cutting it and then removing it with a pair of pliers. After that the printer no longer bleeds magenta on my prints. Don't know if it was removing the piece of plastic or the roller getting pulled in and out during this process. My main concerned with this solution is that the printer ran for a year without a problem. You would think that if it was the plastic piece, it would have started right from the get go. I will keep my fingers crossed.

I had a similar problem with toner bleeding onto the page. I found the solution by accident. The bleeding as caused by inadequate voltage to the printer. The printer was hooked up to a circuit that was supplying 90V instead of 110V. After the line was repaired, the bleeding problem disappeared right away.

Same problem...Magenta, yellow and cian. The problem can be if you use after-market re-manufactured toner. If the toner itself is made too fine it will leak out during use. One after market toner re-seller said that it is best to use the Dell product. $$$-OUCH-$$$.

Hey Guest, can you post a link to more information about the "known problem". I would like more information about this problem as I've had about 4 or 5 5100's with this same problem.

Thanks!

Is a known problem, when placing the imaging drum you must be very carefull because you can damage the magenta drumkit.
It's located behind the imaging drum.
The drumkit must be replaced by a Dell technician.

Xerox 6350 prints to much magenta

is it also when you print blank pages after the 25-50 pages? if so it could be the fuser, if not it could be the imaging unit. Check your magenta imaging unit and fuser roller anyway. If any of them is dirty, replace them.

A 1/4 inch stripe of magenta ink runs down the side of all pages printed.

Hi ,
Dirty print out is mostly due to cartridge related issues. In this case it seems that magenta is the issue. Take out the cartridge and clean its drum/ (green roller) with a dry, soft, lint-free cloth. The drum is located under a cover. Checkout for any spilled toner inside the printer and clean it also. Print a few pages so that the parts get further cleaned. I think, this would solve the issue.

Moreover, streaks (thicker lines) and dots etc indicate faulty PCR Roller which is located just behind the green drum inside the cartridge. Try cleaning it or replacing the Magenta Cartridge. If required, get the PCR Roller changed by a professional.

Let me know if any further clarification is required.
Hope it helps! Good Luck!

When i print or xerox on my konica minolta bizhub 353. then print on paper totally magenta shade sprade

1. The first step would be to give it a good clean as per manual instructions.
2. If that doesn't help, then the magenta cartridge chip may be faulty telling the printer to dump mare magenta colour than necessary. In this case, just replace the cartridge.
3. If none of the above worked, your fuser/printhead is faulty and needs replacing.

Magenta is bleeding down the center of the page Kyocera FS-C5016N

you most likely will need to replace the magenta developer...
you prob dont' need a tech to do this..
these machines get very dirty..
take out all the toners.
underneath the toners is the developers.
there is a connector on the right hand side ..take out the connector
than pinch both grey tabs together and pull up and out the magenta developer... clean the magenta develop (vaccum out) or replace it

If the streaks are only from the magenta then your magenta drum is bad. If you recently replaced it, it may still be under warranty.

sound like the drum could be the problem have you replaced that? if the fuser was the problem it would have the toner but would not have been fused or had marks on the page. this would be my best on this issue

Phaser 7700 steaks on Magenta, sometimes yellow.

Each color has its own laser. Use the cleaning wand in the front door to clean the lens covers for each color. You will need to remove the waste toner cartridge in front of the the slots to do this. If that does not cure the problem, you will need to replace the developer housings for the colors that are streaking. The manual can be downloaded at: www.lpscomputer.com/ec/Phaser_7700_Service_Manual.pdf

and parts purchased at: http://www.lpscomputer.com/p-3063-1-116-1115-00-developer-housing.aspx

Horz. streak approx.3/4 down on each page I print

Sounds like some of the magenta toner is left behind on the drum. The only way to fix it is to get a new cartridge.

Magenta colour comes through on all prints right across the page, it is faded but is still clearly there. I can temporarily fix problem by using the printer menu to clean the magenta developer, but it...

We have over 50 of these printers and a few have had the magenta bleeding problem. On everyone of them the problem was corrected by going to the clean developer function under Maintenence from the Menu and choosing to clean the magenta color. Usually have to run it a couple times but it has always corrected the problem so far.
