Question about Dell 5100cn Laser Printer
I have replaced the fuser roller and cleaned up the printer and the first time a print called for magenta it started all over again. Is there a service manual available for this printer.
I had a similar problem with toner bleeding onto the page. I found the solution by accident. The bleeding as caused by inadequate voltage to the printer. The printer was hooked up to a circuit that was supplying 90V instead of 110V. After the line was repaired, the bleeding problem disappeared right away.

The solution is to replace the developer

Same problem...Magenta, yellow and cian. The problem can be if you use after-market re-manufactured toner. If the toner itself is made too fine it will leak out during use. One after market toner re-seller said that it is best to use the Dell product. $$$-OUCH-$$$.

Hey Guest, can you post a link to more information about the "known problem". I would like more information about this problem as I've had about 4 or 5 5100's with this same problem.

Is a known problem, when placing the imaging drum you must be very carefull because you can damage the magenta drumkit.
It's located behind the imaging drum.
The drumkit must be replaced by a Dell technician.
