You can buy and replace leaky sections of hose for these pool cleaners. Go back to the place where you bought the cleaner or look online for an authorized dealer of Kreepy Krauly cleaners. You can buy the section of hose and install it for very little money and it should completely correct your problem. Also, make sure that you are not storing your cleaner with the hose coiled. That will cause these cracks. Here is a copy of the users manual for these cleaners. If you go to the end, there is a part list with model numbers. You can find the section you need and replace it.

There is a motor-looking device under the radiator that is sucking air, but, I can't find anything it should hook to. What is this thing and what should the 5/8 to 3/4 inch hose hook to?

Hello, I have a 2001 also and had to replace that "motor looking device". It is the Air Pump, which is part of the smog control system. The hose that you speak of should be about 8 to 9 inches long and have a 90 degree bend in it, and then a Y hooked to it with two more hoses and then one way valves that hook up to two tubes that are on the front of each exhaust manifold. It will come as a whole assembly that includes from the 90 degree, Y, hoses, one way valves, and two more bends, It is available from the dealer only, It is not an item that I found could be gotten from Autozone or others. You might be able to go to a junk yard and salvage one. Hope this helps.

near the bottom of the vacume where the hose bends down to the floor sweeper, check to make sure there is no blockage. this is the most common problem with vacume suction. you can use a wire coat hanger to help loosen the dirt and debris from the line and it is sometimes easier to clean properly if you remove the bottom plate ( like you would if you were changing the belt ). also while you are getting dirty and having fun, this is a good time to clean the air filter, ( tap it out good or/and use a brush or air compressor to clear and clean ).

It sounds like your loosing prime. I would chesk all the hoses for leaks. When you start the pump keep the hoses under water and see if the system works. If it does then pull the hoses one by on up out of the water bending them as you go to see if you can hear them sucking air. Good luck.

My vaccum is not sucking up barely anything and the cup is empty

In spite of it's advertising, it may actually be a clogged air passage. Remove the debris cup and reach into the air passage with a hooked wire to pick out any material. Do the same from the under side of the machine. The usual point of clog is where the upright and base components bend--there is a flexible hose there that tends to catch things large or sharp. Make sure the air exit filter is not plugged. Good luck!

Brush spins, I have washed the filter, but do not have much suction.

I want you to do 2 things, First run a small broom handle threw the hose. next you need to clean the small hose under the sweeper. its a flex hose that bends when the vacuum bends back and forth, i use hemostates and a coat hanger. this clogs up and slows sucking power.

Does the hose come off the dyson? I accidently sucked up a rag now it is stuck in the hose

hi. i can help you. the best way to remove the rag is to straighten out a wire coat hanger and put a small bend at the end to act as a little hook. shove it into the hose, snag the rag and pull it out.

Dyson DC14 won't **** from hose but works fine otherwise

There is probably a clog in the U-bend on the back of the unit at the bottom. Removed with a twist of a plastic screw by a coin or screw driver. If not in the U-bend check in the hose/wand.
