I will check all that when I get home. We may have had a power surge also, the electric power company was working on the pole outside, and we other circuits blow in the house while we were not home.

Hi.

You need to get to the back of the appliance and check power cord and wall socket. If power cord is fused, check fuse in power cord. Test the wallsocket.
If power inlet is OK, then more parts must be tested.

The door latch must be tested jumping its contacts. Wiring to motor and to control module must be tested using a volt meter or a multimeter set on impedance. Reading impedance is safer because it can be done with power off.

Below wiring diagram for this model. Click on the picture to enlarge:

The power surge is probably at source of problem. If a power surge damaged more appliances in the house, then the main controller board may be faulty. As you can see from diagram, in this model power cord goes straight to main control circuit and to motor, with no fuse in the middle.

Remember to observe safety prescriptions when testing. Always disconnect power. Wiring can be tested in a safer way by reading Ohms on cables, so to check if there is continuity between to points( circuit closed, low impedance) rather than reading volts.

    Regards.

Frigidare dryer gleq215ee won't heat then shuts off after about 10 minutes. 4 lights on right flash. no error code comes on. I am pretty handy and can take apart and fix. would need to know what t

Hello John Sterns - First, try resetting the unit dryer by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes. Restart unit and if it proves to be ineffective then typically this is something that a professional would need to diagnose. Since it is such a complex unit, there are multiple possible causes; faulty power cord, house wiring, defective control board, thermal limiter or door switch.

I looked up your model number. You particular machine allows for wash with the lid open. You nothing happens. On that case I would check the motor capacitor.

I have my PS3 plugged into my tv with an HDMI cable, and it was wroking fine just yesterday. But today I moved it back to my living room tv where it usually is but nothing shows up. It just says...

Please do the following to reset your display -

1. Turn the PS3 off into standby mode (red light on)

2. Press and hold the power button for 2 beeps (the first beep will be when you first press the button and the second beep will be around 5 seconds later)

3. Release the power button after you hear the second beep

4. Wait for the display to restart

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa

The unit runs but no heat.

Your limit switch has tripped. You will find this small switch near the burner that is the size of a dime. Press the small button between the wires firmly to reset it.
