Question about LG Dishwashers
Google Consumer Reports Dishwahers. Then try a shopping bot to locate the model on interest that was actually tested. Be sure to read any provisos offered by Consumer Reports. Don't just eye the ratings.
For instance, a Consumer Reports Best Buy is $700 Bosch Ascenta SHX3AR7UC. But you may not want to pay that much or you may want some special feature.

Kenmore has more calls for help on this site
both whirl[pool and lg have fewer calls
advise you to check out the service repair agents for both and see who is the closest
the simpler the controls the fewer the problems

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.
Your question is: You have an older model Kenmore ultra wash dishwasher model #15805890. The control lock light is flashing. No buttons are working. The dishwasher does not turn on. Any solutions?
Sure! Someone must have activated the lock. It is next to either the 'air dry' or 'heated dry' button.
Press and hold that button till the lock light goes out. About 6 seconds. That's it. It turns on the same way.

I had the same problem, but mine leaked every time. I have a kenmore ultra wash dishwasher no. 665.15762. I took the bottom rotating sprayer off and found that the plastic piece under the sprayer had a few loose screws and the rubber gasket, under that piece, had blown out at the corner facing the overfill protection float. I took out all the screws and re-mounted the gasket in place and put all the screws back and tightened them. It solved the problem. I hope that this helps others.

Hi: I just posted a similar problem, but found a solution. After taking the arm, etc. apart (and verifying no blockages), I thought maybe the lack of water pressure was being caused by the fact that there are TWO holes for the top spray arm (higher and lower rack setting) on my model. ie. that water was being forced out of both holes, causing a drop in water pressure, which was causing the top spray arm to stop spinning. I plugged the unused hole with a wine bottle cork (to keep the water from spraying out the unused hole), and voila, it now works.
I wish all appliance fixes were this easy...!
