Open Question

Hello, i just flashed my DFI infinity 975x with a more recent BIOS, however on restarting the system the BIOS no longer boots. Is there a way to recover the BIOS on this motherboard, if so please could you advise me on how best to recover it? (i do not have a floppy disk drive) Many thanks, Sam.

Try them individually. Are you sure you have all the power connected, it sounds very unlikely that it wont recognise them. Also try resetting the bios to default

DFI is the board manufacturer. They may or may not offer support since this is a really old board by computer standards. Hope this helps.

DFI NF4 INFINITY MOTHERBOARD NON BOOT

sounds like a hardware problem. try unplugging all external devices including keyboard and mouse but not monitor. test if it works. if not, open the side of the case and remove the little battery found on the flat motherboard for 30 seconds. then slide it back into place. now try to see if it works. if still nothing, check to see if there are motherboard jumpers (they will be 2 tiny pins on the board with a clamp over the top of them, you probably wont find them), if you see the jumpers, move the clamp to the spot that says "clear cmos" then put it back. or if your motherboard has a clear cmos button on the board, press it and try the computer. if it still will not boot, it could either be the flat IDE cable (for a hard drive or cd drive) or the power supply which means you will need to purchase either a new power supply or ide cable. if all still fails, i would say the motherboard is shot.
