What you found is the fuel filter. It has these washers as weights to hold it at the bottom of the tank. The reason it came of is due to old fuel lines. Just replace the fuel lines (One at a time), and replace the fuel filter, available at your local lawn mower shop.

Hope this helps

No fuel moving thru fuel line, tank is full of fresh gas.

lawn mower tanks some times have a filter in the tank that is held it place by the fuel line ( goes against the tank fitting and is tight in the hose ) I have just found that out in a B&S motor when I replaced the fuel hose and the filter came out when I pulled the hose off the tank
It is extremely fine and small in diameter
I just cut the hose and fitted a standard el-cheapo in line car filter

Have a Viking built in. Ignitor is working, fresh tank of gas, turned on valve on tank, grill will not light.

If you are using a 20# propane cylinder, most likely you have just turned the tank valve on too fast. There is an excess flow built into the hose fitting, so when you first turn it on to an empty line, the sudden surge of gas causes the valve to 'check' or close. Turn off the tank valve, disconnect the hose fitting from the tank valve and then re-hook it up again. Now very slowly open the tank valve until it's completely open and then try lighting it again. If this does not fix it, then make sure the hose fitting that attaches to the tank valve is tightened all the way, so that it pushes open the pressure seat inside the tank valve. If the hose is still loose or can still swivel, despite the adapter being tight, then your plastic adapter may be broken and is not tightening all the way onto the tank valve or your inner tank valve black rubber gasket is missing.

I am replacing the fuel lines on a Poulan 446 Pro Pole Saw. The two hoses inside the tank are completely dissolved away, so I don't know how much length to put in the tank. There is a 3/32 x 3/16...

Bill, the small hose connects to the fuel filter inside the tank feed the
hose thru the tank and pull out thru the filler hole and insert the fuel
filter, pull hose back to outside until you have 4" of hose in the tank
with the filter. this same hose connects to the bottom (shorter brass
stem to carburetor). the larger diameter hose will fit 1/4 " into the tank, and fit to the top (longer brass stem)

I need to replace a hot water tank faucet in the kitchen. The tubing inside is bigger than the over the counter faucets I've found. Can a plumber just change the tubing for me? Will it be easy, quick and...

I work at a major hardware store in the plumbing deparment(Not the Orange one the other one). =) What you will need is a barbed fitting that will go from your size tubing to the new faucet's size. A barbed fitting is a fitting(hah) that slips inside the tubing to join one to the other. In your case, you'll get a fitting that fits inside yours and the other part of the fitting will fit a bigger hose. That hose will fit onto your new faucet. I'm guessing your hose is a 1/4 inch and you need to go to a 1/8, or 3/8 to a 1/4. These are standard from what I remember. Look below and PLEASE don't call a plumber.beung.jpg Hope this helps

Poulan PPB200. There are two gas lines inside the tank. They have deteriorated and need to be replaced. One of them is supposed to have a fuel filter. The other one, I don't know. I'm also not sure...

The small one has the fuel filter. The other one is the return line to the tank. The return line is larger and usually have a fitting at the end of the hose and is inside the tank. Thread the new line ( large hose ) Through the hole on the right side. Thread until you can pull it out the filler hole. Install the fitting on the hose and pull it back up until the fitting hits the roof of the fuel tank (on inside of tank ) then that hose goes to the short fitting on the primer bulb. Then thread the small hose through the left hole going into the tank and pull it out the filler hole until you can install the fuel filter. Install fuel filter and pull it back until the filter rests on the edge of the filler hole. That hose goes to the right side of the carburetor. This is if you have a walbro carb. Zama also uses the right side for this hose. Hope my explanation helps. I'm working on one as well.

Replace gas lines cant get fileter inside tank and gas line throug to engine

While accessing the inside of the tank thru the fuel cap hole, try attaching the hose to the filter and place it in the tank, then use a coat hanger bent enough to allow you to push the other end of the hose thru the small opening in the tank. Pierce the end of the hose that you pushing thru the tanks small hole. You'll waste about an inch or two of hose while pushing the coat hanger thru, so make sure you have extra in your overall length of hose you purchased. You did not mention what type of blower, so i'm guessing this trick will work for you. It's not easy to do, but it has always worked for me in the past. Good luck.

On weedeater blower and vac gas line is broke from carb into tank does it just connect to fuel filter in tank model 1925

Yes if your asking about the fuel line yes it hooks to the filter out thru the wall of the gas tank straight into the carb. if it broke out side the tank you can try a smaller plastic hose to stick inside to reconnect the two parts. if it broke inside the tank try to replace as one hose.

Windshield washer fluid hose is leaking behind front right wheel

I had the same problem. Reservoir would drain for no reason and I later found that the water was soaking the passenger side carpet and filling the wire channel under the doors. Tracked the problem to a barbed fitting behind the passenger side kick panel, just below the dash. The fitting connects the tubing coming through the firewall from the reservoir to the rear wiper/washer. The hose had come loose from the fitting (possibly due to freezing). I re-installed the tubing onto the the fitting and it has been fine ever since.
