What you found is the fuel filter. It has these washers as weights to hold it at the bottom of the tank. The reason it came of is due to old fuel lines. Just replace the fuel lines (One at a time), and replace the fuel filter, available at your local lawn mower shop.

Hope this helps

No fuel moving thru fuel line, tank is full of fresh gas.

lawn mower tanks some times have a filter in the tank that is held it place by the fuel line ( goes against the tank fitting and is tight in the hose ) I have just found that out in a B&S motor when I replaced the fuel hose and the filter came out when I pulled the hose off the tank
It is extremely fine and small in diameter
I just cut the hose and fitted a standard el-cheapo in line car filter

How to remove gas tank on 2003 ultra classic electric glide

1. Drain fuel tank as follows:
Obtain a short section of hose with a 5/16 inch (7.9 mm) I.D.
Insert bolt in one end of hose and install hose clamp to
ensure that end is securely plugged. Using a side cutters, cut
clamp from one end of crossover hose beneath fuel tank.
Quickly replace crossover hose on fuel tank fitting with open
end of short hose while directing flow of gasoline from free
end of crossover hose into suitable container.
2. Remove seat.
3. Purge the fuel supply line of high pressure gas. Proceed
as follows:
a. Remove the 15 amp fuel pump fuse.
b. Start the engine and allow the vehicle to run.
c. When the engine stalls, operate starter for 3 seconds
to remove remaining fuel from fuel lines.
4. Unthread bolt and remove battery negative cable (black)

Gas grill low flame

disconnect tank & reconnect...make sure the fitting goes on straight and is tight. If it's slightly off center, little gas will come from the tank. There's a ball inside the tank fitting that needs to be pushed in. If the hose fitting is a little off center, the ball will not be depressed and you'll get no fuel.

I am replacing the fuel lines on a Poulan 446 Pro Pole Saw. The two hoses inside the tank are completely dissolved away, so I don't know how much length to put in the tank. There is a 3/32 x 3/16...

Bill, the small hose connects to the fuel filter inside the tank feed the
hose thru the tank and pull out thru the filler hole and insert the fuel
filter, pull hose back to outside until you have 4" of hose in the tank
with the filter. this same hose connects to the bottom (shorter brass
stem to carburetor). the larger diameter hose will fit 1/4 " into the tank, and fit to the top (longer brass stem)

My toilet only leaks when flushed. It seems to be coming from the connection at the tank. The tank is not cracked and a new hose from tank to shut off valve has been installed. The toilet is only 4 years...

If you have 2-part toilet, then tank is attached to bowl with 2 bolts.
Look inside tank and you can see bolts with rubber washers located on either side of flush valve.
The 2 bolts hold tank and bowl together and between tank and bowl is a washer called the spud washer.
So spud washer could be leaking ... or 2 bolts could be leaking.

1) If bolts are leaking, there is usually dripping all the time, and drips are visible on bottoms of bolts
If spud washer is leaking, then tank could leak only when tank is flushed.

2) First thing to try is tightening nuts on the 2 bolts. Nuts may be loose. Tighten nuts a few turns, and check if toilet still leaks.

3) To fix a spud washer, you usually need a new generic one from hardware store.
Newer tanks with 1.6 gallon flush have special sized spud washer.
geno_3245_105.jpgTank is upside down and spud washer is fit over flush valve

If you cannot find new spud washer, re-use old one and smear retorseal on it during re-assembly to make sure it seals. Rectoseal is good for many home plumbing repairs. More about that in a moment.

4) To take apart tank: Disconnect supply line to tank. Empty water out of tank. Remove nuts from bolts. Lift tank off. Wash out tank with hose. Make sure there is no sand or sediment left in bottom that might clog up flush holes located inside bowl after tank is re-assembled.

5) Remove old spud washer, and put new one on. Do a google-image search for 'spud washer' if you need more photos. New spud washer fits over flush valve. That's it. And then reassemble tank.
If you want to apply rectorseal to washer, put washer on as shown in photo above. Then smear-or-gawm rectorseal over area of washer that sits on bowl. Rectorseal will make sure there is no more leaking.

Poulan PPB200. There are two gas lines inside the tank. They have deteriorated and need to be replaced. One of them is supposed to have a fuel filter. The other one, I don't know. I'm also not sure...

The small one has the fuel filter. The other one is the return line to the tank. The return line is larger and usually have a fitting at the end of the hose and is inside the tank. Thread the new line ( large hose ) Through the hole on the right side. Thread until you can pull it out the filler hole. Install the fitting on the hose and pull it back up until the fitting hits the roof of the fuel tank (on inside of tank ) then that hose goes to the short fitting on the primer bulb. Then thread the small hose through the left hole going into the tank and pull it out the filler hole until you can install the fuel filter. Install fuel filter and pull it back until the filter rests on the edge of the filler hole. That hose goes to the right side of the carburetor. This is if you have a walbro carb. Zama also uses the right side for this hose. Hope my explanation helps. I'm working on one as well.

Replacing broken gaslines... were do they go?

the primer bulb draws gas through the carb 'C' and back to the tank'T' leaving a small amount of fresh gas in the replace the lines from filter to carb & bulb to tank, you may have to remove handle & split the housing halves to find where lines enter tank.look in tank W/ a replace lines cut new line on an angle, feed a piece of # 14 copper wire through hole from inside tank.slide new line over wire, the wire will help align fuel line with hole.use needle-nose pliers to push line into tank,& to pull it through once you can see it.cut off end of hose you beat up with pliers.push filter on hose to carb.drop it back in tank."T' line is the return.dosn't matter which line is through top or bottom hole.

On weedeater blower and vac gas line is broke from carb into tank does it just connect to fuel filter in tank model 1925

Yes if your asking about the fuel line yes it hooks to the filter out thru the wall of the gas tank straight into the carb. if it broke out side the tank you can try a smaller plastic hose to stick inside to reconnect the two parts. if it broke inside the tank try to replace as one hose.
