The left cartridge is the color one try to clean the nozzle inside the printer ,if the problem still there replace the color cartridge

You need to carry out alignment to correct the left cartridge, go to the setup on the printer, under maintenance, you will see align cartridge,perform this exercise to align the black and color cartridge and see if it will still prompt this message.

Replaced black cartridge in my lexmark 3500-4500 printer. message reads "left cartridge incorrect". Have taken cartridge out and put back in numerous times still get this message.


You may have bent or broken a sensor wire. Check how the other (color) side looks by removing cartridge and confirm that nothing is awry. Otherwise, clean the metal contacts on both printer (power off and unplug) and cartridge with rubbing alchohol and a cotton swab, then try again.

I get a message that says "Remove Cartridge and check cartridge on right". I changed the cartridge, same problem. I then cleaned the connection point on the printer with a cotton swab, same message


If there is a spring loose on the right side where that cartridge goes, it may have poked a hole in the ribbon cable when that happens you have to replace the carriage assembly. Sometimes this machine lies and you really need to change the cartridge on the left. Take out the left. cart. and see if the error changes.

Hey!

Are you using Jet Tec ML32 Cartridge re-manufactured cartridges or genuine Lexmark Cartridge?

If it is the Jet Tec cartridge then it is known to be faulty - purchase a Lexmark cardridge and you should be fine.

If it is the Lexmark Cardridge then I would recommend taking all of the cartridges out, turning the printer off (from the power), turning it back on, inserting the cartridges again and checking if it works.

If none of the solutions work, then your cartridge is damaged and should be replaced.

Cartridge error, check left cartridge


Try the steps mentioned bellow

Unplug the power cord from the All-In-One as well as the power outlet when there is still power in the All-In-One. and wait for atleast 1Min
Plug the power cord directly to a wall outlet without surg protector. (if possible connect it to a different power outlet)
Before connecting the power cord to the All-In-One press and hold the # and no 6 button and then insert the power cord, do not release the keys
until you see a message a reset (if the screen goes blank then release the keys and turn the power on)

Then check and see

The following error message appears on the color graphics display after you insert a cartridge: Remove and Check Print Cartridges . The printer will not print. The message does not specify which cartridge has caused the error. Solution This error message indicates that the printer cannot determine which cartridge is causing the error. Follow the steps below to solve the problem.
  1. Remove the color cartridge from the left stall (which has a blue latch) and refasten the latch. Leave the other cartridge in place.
  2. Close the printer, wait 10 to 15 seconds, then look at the LCD display.
    • If the LCD display reads Insert Color Cartridge in Left Stall , the color cartridge may be causing the problem. Follow the steps below:
      1. Clean the color cartridge contacts.
      2. Reinsert the color cartridge into the carriage and close the blue latch.
      3. Close the printer and wait 10 to 15 seconds.
      4. If the LCD display reads Remove and Check Print Cartridges , replace the color cartridge.
    OR
    • If the LCD display reads Remove and Check Print Cartridges , follow the steps below:
      1. Reinsert the color cartridge.
      2. Remove the black or photo cartridge, depending on which one is installed in the right stall. The right stall has the gray latch. Be sure to refasten the latch on the empty stall.
      3. Clean the black or photo cartridge contacts.
      4. Reinsert the black or photo cartridge.
      5. Close the printer and wait 10 to 15 seconds.
      6. If the LCD display reads Remove and Check Print Cartridges , replace the black or photo cartridge.

  1. Remove and then reinsert the cartridge indicated in the error message.
  2. If the error is still displayed, clean the contacts.
    1. If the error message is Error. Remove and Check Black or Photo Cartridge , the following steps may help:
    1. Remove both cartridges, lower the latches, and close the printer access door.
    2. Turn off the unit by pressing the On button on the front panel. Wait for the printer to completely shut down.
    3. Turn the printer back on by pressing the On button.
    4. When the message display reads Insert Print Cartridges , open the access door and replace the cartridges.
    1. If neither of the steps above fixed the problem, either the cartridge or the printer is faulty

    Hi, I really appericate all your efforts to fix the issue the issue usually occures if any one of the cartridge is defective or low in ink or both the cartridge are defective. We can isolate the issue only by removing the both the cartridges out of the printer and check for the expiry dates printed on the cartridges as if the cartridges are expired also leads to this message. If the cartridge are not expired and have minumial ink in it you can try the below procedure to isolate the defective cartridge Once the both the cartridges are out of the printer insert only the black cartridge in the printer and check for the message if the message is install color cartridge the black cartridge and printer is detecting fine. If the message is check right cartridge this shows that the black cartridge is defective. If the message is insert left cartridge or color cartridge remove the black cartridge out and insert only the color cartridge and check with the message if the message is insert the black cartridge the color cartridge is working fine. And when the color cartridge is in the printer and if the message prompts to check left or color cartridge the color cartridge seems to be defective so replace the defective one will fix the issue So in isolation we can find the defective cartridge and fix the issue by replacing the defective one..     To determine whether this error is due to a cartridge failure or a hardware problem with the printer, do the following: Make sure the printer is powered on. Open the printer's top cover. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position. Press down on the cartridge lever to raise the cartridge lid. Remove the cartridges. With the cartridges out of the printer, close the top cover. Power the printer OFF and then back ON. Check the operator panel to see if the 1203 error has returned or if a new message is displayed. If the message displayed is 1203, there is something wrong with the printer hardware. Please contact Lexmark Technical Support. If the message is Cartridge Missing, reinstall the cartridges into the printer. Insert the black cartridge in the left carrier. Insert the color cartridge in the right carrier. Snap the lids closed. Close the top cover. Check the operator panel. If the 1203 message is still present, you need to insert one cartridge at a time to determine which cartridge is producing the failure. With one cartridge in the carrier, close the top cover and check the operator panel. If the 1203 message is displayed, that cartridge is producing the error. If Cartridge Missing is displayed, the second cartridge is the defective item. Please replace the defective cartridge.
