I don't know if this is your problem, but my sister had this problem before. When I checked the area, it was clogged with dried soda. The kids allowed it to splash up when ice dropped into the glass. The sugary drinks will dry sticky and not allow the dispenser to dispense. I used very hot soapy water several times to melt the sticky buildup. Her fridge has been working every since. Good luck, it this is your solution

ED25PQ quit making ice. Water dispenser still working

Pour about 1/2 cup of water into icemaker . If it harvests(dumps) then problem is the water valve.....if not , then icemaker is the problem .

WATER DOES NOT DISPENSE FROM DOOR

Sounds like the water solenoid valve poppet is sticking in the closed position. You will need to replace the assembly. It is located behind the fridge at the lower corner.

Ice and water don't work

This could be several reasons, water valve on back not working, thermostat in ice tray not working, heating element below ice maker not working, we just need to start with the dual water valve on back first. The side that feeds the ice maker needs the solenoid checked. I am ready to help you solve this, Let me know, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Whirlpool side by side refrigerator, model # ED25PQ

Under the right side of the fridge in the back there is a dual valve for water and ice. Try changing it out, most likely the ice side is not working. Make sure you unplug the unit first

WHIRPOOL ED2

Not enough model to get the wire diagram. It sounds like a diode is out in the water valve harness. If it is using the triple valve on that unit.
