My toaster won't pop out the bread. It burns it completely and won't let go.

Yes, I have the same problem. It's not the thermostat switch. Try the
circuit which gives the signal to a solenoid to release the contacts.
There is a IC around as a counter.

Love this toaster size and design, but last week it suddenly started burning toast.  It will not pop up, even if you press the cancel button on the front.  To stop it you must unplug it or force the handle up.

I can not find it for sale, have no idea where to take it for repair.  If anyone has a different problem with their CPT-60,  I would love to have their toaster for parts.

How to Clean Your Toaster

Most Toasters Old and New have a trap door. Some have trays to catch the bread crumbs which can burn and even catch fire if not removed on a regular basis. Just open the trap door over a trash can and brush the crumbs away. Never put oils on the bread before toasting. This could cause a fire. Always unplug the toaster when finished. Not only will this help keep bills down but it can also make sure your toaster is not the cause of an electrical fire while unattended.

Why do all toasters have a setting that burns all my toast to a crisp?

The highest setting on most toasters is not meant for sliced bread straight from the bag. The highest setting should be used for frozen bread.

Right side lights on all buttons won't stop flashing and bread 'holder' stays closed

Hi! Try to unplug it from the electrical grid and to clean it inside the place where the bread goes, maybe there's a piece of bread stuck in there. I hope this will work! Have a nice day!

Tthe lever on my Braun HT 600 toaster won't stay down. 3 years old, but very moderate use. Ideas?

Be sure to unplug toaster first. While inverting your toaster, depress the toaster lever(s) and shake toaster to clear all bread crumbs. It can take up to several minutes of shaking to clear them completely, however, the key is to depress the toaster levers down at the same time. Also, remember to remove bread crumb trays and empty regularly, as the trays are too shallow and allow crumbs to build up quickly, thereby blocking the "locking mechanism" of the lever(s).

If after cleaning your toaster out thoroughly, the levers still won't remain depressed, try various outlets throughout your kitchen. Oftentimes, when one GFI (Ground Fault Indicator) trips, several outlets along the same circuit will also trip.

Also, there is a website called Manuals.com, which has a very good database of many manuals for various manufacturers and models of toasters, should all of the above efforts fail.

I did all of the above and fixed my toaster within five minutes. :- )

Good luck to you.

Only toast one side of the bread

The other side that isn't toasting has an open element. Usually, the good side will burn twice as hot, and may have stressed that element. You might want to replace both in that slot. make sure you check the voltage rating plate. 208 and 240 volt toasters use different elements.
I just posted the procedure to replace elements, in a similar post here.
