Depending on the make and model, specific software is required to access the firmware and adaptor.

If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as usually one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, list of Dealers and Driver downloads as required.

Just Google the manufacturer's name and follow the links. Make certain you are directed to the manufacturer's web site as some search engines direct you to other sites and they charge for the information that is normally free of charge.

If you have a Toshiba laptop, go to Toshiba's web site for specific drivers.

I hope this helps.

Goto device manager , uninstall the card. go into control panel and check that the driver is uninstalled from the programs list. Swich of the pc for a minute or two then reboot Windows updares does not download drivers for graphics cards so will not install or reinstall the driver that is causing the issue, 307? Solution for aspire 4745g when installing for ati driver it turn black?

An ATI adapter is a type of video adapter that is designed to be used on computers running Windows. If the adapter is disabled, you will not be able to connect any external monitors, video projectors or other similar devices to it, as your operating system won't be able to recognize it. Of the different ways you can enable this type of display adapter, one is through the "Display" manager in the Control Panel.

Click "Start." Click "Control Panel." Click "Display." Click "Change Display Settings." Click "Advanced Settings." Click the "Adapter" tab. Select the ATI adapter from the list on screen. Click "Properties." Click the "Driver" tab. Click "Enable" to enable the ATI adapter through the "Display" manager.

Or the driver you are installing is not compatible with your operating system or your computers hardware
Hope it helps

I want to run a software which requires a screen resolution of 1280 x 768 but my Samsung SyncMaster 740nw supports up to 1280 x 700 screen resolution. Is there anything that I can do? Please guide.

Have you tried adjusting the screen resolution in Control Panel - Display - Settings and moving the slider on Screen resolution?
Normally a monitor such as Samsung LCD would be able to display a higher resolution.
If you cannot adjust the Screen resolution in Display - Settings then it may be that the correct video driver was not installed or is corrupted.
To check if the video diver is OK, go to Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device manager and click on Display adapter. Check that your display adapter is OK and working. If you see a yellow ? against the video adapter or a standard VGA adapter was installed then you need to re-install the video driver for your model graphics card.

The movie is running slow on full screen

Hi,
check if the display driver is installed or not in your computer, here is the step to check the display driver is installed or not,
step 1. go to start and select control panel.
step 2. double click on system.
step 3. after this a window pop up select hardware.
step 4. click the device manager and after this another window pop up.
step 5. in this window you can display adapter on 4th row.
if you cant see this display adapter row so you can see something with ? sign in other rows and you can see vga adapter or display adapter down there. if you see ? sign that mean this driver is not loaded you need to load the driver for your display driver. there is no problem in your LCD monitor.

Thank you for using Fixya

How do you install the wirleless router?

Hi,

1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click Network and Internet Connections.
3 Under or pick a Control Panel icon, click Network Connections.
4. Microsoft Windows XP displays your network adapters. Wireless network adapters are labeled Wireless Network Connection. If an adapter displays a red X, it is disconnected. If the Network Connections window is blank, your computer doesn't yet have a wired or wireless network adapter.

Good luck!
And Thanks.
